LOL. What a reaction. Well all I can say is Paula is an icon for me. One of my favorites. Love this amusing song about magnetic attraction. 🙂

Good post. Interesting to note that the 1990 UK 12″ of “Opposites Attract” has a different Paula Abdul megamix from DMC’s Michael Gray. There is also a megamix, which I can’t remember if it’s the same one by Michael Gray, on the b-side of the second UK 12″ of (It’s Just) The Way That You Love Me, which was released in 1989 with 2 UK only remixes of (It’s Just) The Way That You Love Me that are missing most of the vocals. I don’t recall seeing either of these UK 12″es or the 1989 UK 12″ of Knocked Out… Read more »

Without doubt Paula Abdul is one of the greatest pop / dance acts of the modern era.

She is up there with Madonna, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Prince and George Michael.

I hope her albums get the deluxe reissue treatment and hopefully we’ll see more exclusive vinyl rips on BTG!

You MUST BE JOKING! What the hell!?! Up there with MJ? George Michael??? PRINCE?!?!?!?! I’m glad you didn’t include Whitney Houston because I would of flipped and pushed my computer of my desk!! You’re either, no, you’ve GOT to be kidding, you can’t be serious, I refuse to believe this. If you THINK Paula Abdul is up there with those greats, sans leftie Madonna, you really don’t know great singers, real singers, real talent. To consider Paula Abdul one of the greats of the 80s, is laughable, here’s why: PA was a Laker Girl and not a very good one… Read more »

I like ‘Opposites’ however, if I never hear the other songs ever again, I won’t miss a single sonic torture audio wave of this horrendous PA crap. I would sign a petition to destroy the masters so that I, and I’m sure many others will never hear her awful voice sing straight up now again. Ever.

Again, you give me chills of stimulation Paul!! You know how much I love mega-mixes, and one by Chris Cox always makes me smile!! I so love this mix and I’m so excited that you have brought it back better than ever. I am really happy about these past two days of rips. Brings me back to the days that were less hectic and a bit more carefree. Thanks, heaps upon heaps!!

Cheers!

Jeff
