BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1985
“Temporary Heroes” is the fifth and final single taken from American rock singer Pat Benatar’s fifth studio album, and sixth album overall, “Tropico” released in late 1984 by Chrysalis Records. The album and it’s singles were the first attempt to move away from Benatar’s famed “hard rock” sound and start experimenting with new “gentler” styles and sounds.
“Temporary Heroes” was only released in Canada, Japan and the United States failing to chart. In the United States a special 12″ promo was released for radio containing exclusive remixes.

I was listening to your rip of “Love Is A Battlefield” recently. Glad you have posted another single by this artist.
Thanks Paul 🙂
I never even knew this track (one of my favs my Mrs. Benatar btw) had a single release/remix. What an unexpected & awesome post Paul. Thanks!
Bravo, thanks for another rarity from a mainstream artist! Love it!
Thanks Paul.
Thank you Paul for these exclusive remixes. I love Pat Benatar. This week´s theme seems to be “US rock songs”. I like it.
You’re welcome Daniel 🙂
I was wondering if this record was written by Holly Knight, Paul. I almost had the feeling that you’re posting songs written or co-written by her. I can’t wait to check this one out. Again, you come through with the songs with the special mixes. Awesome as usual. Thank you ever so much Paul!!!
Jeff
It is not written by Holly Knight. I am posting promo twelves this week 🙂
Great share Paul! Love Pat Benatar. I never heard this radio remix, so thank you for this nice surprise.
You’re welcome Stefano 🙂
