BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1988
New 2015 Re-Rip!
Remastered using the Ortofon OM Super 30 stylus!
This is one of those singles that I originally ripped way back in December, 2010. Back then I was using ClickRepair and the Ortofon OM 20 stylus. The result was a good rip but not as good as it could be. Now in 2015 I have stopped using ClickRepair started manually removing clicks and updated my stylus to the Ortofon OM Super 30. I also upgraded the tube in my Bellari phono pre-amp to the Tung-Sol 12AX7ECC803-S Gold Electron tube resulting in a much higher quality transfer. Enjoy!
“Let’s Stay Together” was the third single lifted from Pat Benatar’s eighth studio album “Wide Awake In Dreamland”. The single but failed to reach the chart status of the previous singles and failed to chart in the US. “Wide Awake In Dreamland” was Benatar’s last rock-oriented album of the 1980s, before she would go on to try a blues-based sound.

Until now, I had no idea that this existed. Easily the best song from that album. Thank you for posting this. You’re doing God’s work. 🙂
Love the Benatar posts – thank you
Thank you for all these Benatar singles!
Great to have this digitally. I have this vinyl release too.
Thanks for this rare treat, Paul 🙂
The day after: so happy with this rare 12 inch Paul.
Another thanks.
I’ve enjoyed Pat Benatar so far, until this track and it is by her previous standards, disappointing.
Regardless of that, thanks for the rip Paul. 🙂
Nobody does it better than you Paul! Wow, these single artist spotlight series are such an excellent way to obtain an artist’s dance discography. I echo Stefano’s sentiments too. You’re the best Paul!!!
Jeff

Thanks Paul. I am a happy man.
You are very welcome Stefano 🙂
