Very lovely song by a charming young lady!
Olivia is my favorite artist of all time. I’ve been buying and listening to her music since I bought the “Have You Never Been Mellow” 7″ single back in 1975 or 1976. It was one of the first records I bought with my own allowance money as a child. All that having been said, this remake of “I Honestly Love You” is not a favorite of mine. Love this. Love the original a bit more perhaps just because it was in my life longer, but I always liked the redo from Back With A Heart. I heard Olivia on the radio in Sam’s Club yesterday and it was like still such a thrill after all these years to hear her beautiful voice. I guess I had forgotten David Foster was involved and did not know the sing originally had a longer title! Thanks! I’ll be pulling out Back With A Heart for the truck now…. 😃
Still can’t believe she is no longer with us. I prefer the original too like you maybe it is because it has been with me longer it was the hit that really put ONJ on the map her signature song. I like this version too and prefer the country-flavored remix. Back With A Heart is a great album as well.

And, if all truth be told, I wasn’t exactly a fan of the original when it first came out, however, that has changed as I got older. But this version, is incredibly special to me.
