“Breakin’ Together” is the second single taken from the third studio album Be My Lover recorded by American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist O’Bryan. “Breakin’ Together” reached #32 on the U.S. R&B Chart on September 15, 1984, after spending ten weeks on the survey.
During his career, O’Bryan released nine singles and recorded six albums.

Thank you Paul!! This really takes me back. You could always spot the break dancing from the crowd on the sidewalk – I loved watching it. Such a unique art form. And seeing all the dancers decked out in their Thriller duds! Speaking of which, you probably remember clothing stores full of the red Thriller and Beat It jackets! To echo Jeff, I’m loving you taking us back to the Breakin’ genre, so many great beats!!

This is hot, Paul!! I love that you’re incorporating music videos within your posts. I was not familiar at all with the record, but I’m so happy to have it introduced through you. This Electric-Funk genre or as you affectionally call it, the Breakin’ genre, was a cool category of dance music. I love these short-lived trends. They’re fun, fascinating and an historic music time capsule. I just love that you’re introducing us to songs that we may have missed.
