Hi Paul….any chance of releasing this as a download again?
Thanks
I would be over the moon if someone could post a legit FLAC/HQ rip of Nick Kamen’s Us album or simply the track “Turn It Up” (think: the kitchen dance scene from Honey I Shrunk the Kids).
Thanks Paul! One of my fav NK tracks!!
Now, That’s what I’m talking about.
Thankyouverymuch! You’re the best…
I know the Basshunter version well, but had forgotten that Dead Or Alive did an earlier cover. (I guess that explains why Pete Hammond’s remix of Basshunter closely resembles You Spin Me Round.) I’m excited to hear the original. Thanks Paul!
This is the definitive version in my opinion Christian 🙂
Might that be because these are mixed with more warm instrumentation and less generic (as in overly used and flatly produced) rhythm-machines? I am pro musicians, as Grace Jones states ”technology-mixed with a band” h!
(But i get the point of those other styles, in a way) 🙂
This is what i think about when we speak ”Nick Kamen”.
Thank you , these mixes were the ones i have the memories with..although not including him at the time 😉
You’re welcome Dirk 🙂
I am really astounded! 🙂
I’m familiar with the song via Dead or Alive’s “Fragile” album but I didn’t notice a song-writing credit (presuming it was written by Pete Burns)…
Now you have posted this and I have a totally new appreciation for Mr Nick Kamen! The song I think is a beautiful creation… the melody, the urgency… Really wonderful
🙂 xox
It is indeed a beautiful song Ray Mr. Kamen has written a lot of his catalog. I think he a truly underrated talent 🙂
It’s so nice to have a run Paul like this one. It’s like you’re creating the perfect Nick Kamen collection for us all. Many, many thanks for your dedication and hard work.
Have a great weekend!
