“American Gir” was a 1986 single by German rock band of the 70s and 80s Munich, taken from the LP “The Other Side Of Midnight”. During their brief career the band released four studio albums then disappeared.

So glad to see another obscure 80s post. Munich is a much underrated german rock band. Toto’s ex-drummer Simon Philips produced the album from which this great single was taken. Should have been a hit. Thank you so much Paul for giving these forgotten gems another chance 🙂

They look like a heavy metal rock outfit, Paul. I do like checking out these obscure singles because it’s keeping me aware of different things that may need a listen. I have enjoyed many of these records you have posted. Some are new favorites.
