Another EXCELLENT POST! Thank you sooooo much!
What does ‘_batch2_batch2’ mean on the end of the track titles Paul? Are we seeing a small insight into the workings of the DJPaulT music processing factory?!
Yes, you are seeing part of my work flow 🙂 I usually remove that text before uploading the files but I forgot to on this one. Old age maybe lol.
Thank you Paul for this upload.
You’re very welcome 🙂
Go!! Man Paul, you are on fire!! I love Ministry so very much, especially their synth-pop work. The band did get a little rough for me with their more intense rock sound, but I loved the Industrial phase. This song was a favorite, although, I must admit, it is quite dark. Check out these lyrics: Love – Love is like an open hand Stings a little when it lands Hold me closer Hold me tighter Hold me so damn close that my heart’s on fire It’s a fantasy It’s a nightmare And the whole damn world is walking round in… Read more »
You’re welcome, Jeff. It is a very dark record but somehow enjoyable. Is that weird? I like the A-side mix much better than the “Cruelty Mix”.
I like the A-Side mix better too. The B-Side is way beyond deranged, but I guess that’s the point. It must have been torturous for you to rip.
Jeff
Hi Paul,
Its been awhile since I posted. Its nice to see
some early industrial work from ministry.
this is more from their early synthpop sound too.
but i do like it it. i think after a couple more albums
they didn’t really release mixes or singles, and
they were much more rock oriented.
take care.

Thx for the recent uploads! Love me some classic Ministry and Nitzer Ebb. Any chance for some Die Warzau?
You’re welcome. I don’t own any Die Warzau which single do you recommend by them?
Tbh I’m mostly a fan of their later releases (Vinyl88, Convenience). “Funkopolis” and “Liberated” are a couple good older tracks, but those had CD singles.
Of interest to me would be the following. These are the only three I didn’t get a chance to completely rip back when I had the hardware to do so:

Wax Trax era Ministry is the stuff I like by them! The lovelovelovelove dubby part is the best!
I agree early Ministry is great.
Nice one! I must confess, I love it when you post material that’s more “alternative”. If you plan on posting more early Ministry 12″ singles, I won’t complain…wink wink, nudge nudge…;)
Ministry has a lot of their early stuff on bandcamp, including some live shows
