I really loved this song when I was a child growing up in the 70’s and 80’s, this was a great soundtrack to have on while playing with the Star Wars Palitoy/Kenner action figures. There was another disco Star Wars Vinyl LP I had called The Sonic All-Stars ‎– The Sounds Of Star Wars (conducted by Bruce Baxter). A great post Paul to a fantastic nostalgic trip and I really love the SW films and looking forward to episode eight, shame about Carrie Fisher R.I.P, she was a really friendly person and had a great sense of humour, when I… Read more »

I have never seen a Starwars movie longer than minutes. Never got into. Never will, I guess. But I later discovered Carrie Fisher as a person. Got a soft spot for her ever since. Love this post, thanks Paul. Just a quick spell check, you have an extra digit added to Carrie Fisher’s birthdate, I think that’s what I saw. Just wanted to give you a heads up. I look forward to hearing this. You are awesome.

Wow, Paul!! My jaw dropped when I saw this posting!! Although I’m not a Star Wars fan, I love the film scores by John Williams. And, I was delighted when Meco Monardo decided to make dance/disco records based on Mr. Williams’ wonderful movie music. It’s fantastic to have a shorter edit than the album version, but much longer than the 7-inch pop single (of which you have graciously given us on BTG; and with Meco’s take on “The Wizard of Oz” themes). Such fun and all. I love getting surprised each day with a new treasure. You really pull out… Read more »
