I’m a huge collector of Prince and his entire universe and have never heard of her. The closest I can find is her being on Motown at the same time as Vanity and Brownmark. Please fill me in
Me too, I have all kinds of Prince tangents… including Brownmark’s 2 Motown CDs, Dale’s PP album, Taja Seville’s, even Good Question’s album on&on&on obsessively & I literally have never heard of this girl until today! Now she looks like she WANTED to be a mid-80’s Prince protege! LOL
There was not much out there to find about her when I was researching this post really all I know is that Motown was looking for a Vanity replacement however they did not promote Lushus Daim very well. She did appear on Soul Train performing her second single “The One You Love”. There is also a rumor that the photo of her on her album cover is not really her. Most of this I found on a Prince forum.
This is a delight… something I doubt I’d hear anywhere else. I love everything Prince-related, so thank you!
You’re welcome, Grant 🙂
This song was not on my hard drive, so I will register it, as a contribution to the music library. Thank you
You’re welcome 🙂
Quite fascinating Paul. I don’t know this at all, however the name does ring a small bell because I am a Prince fan and probably read about the group somewhere in a trade publication or something like that. Should be interesting to check out and I thank you for bringing it back out so we can marvel at an 80’s curiosity!
Jeff
I think you will like it Jeff there are edits! Wish they had given the remixer credits on the label though.
You know me so well Paul. I so do LOVE MY EDITS!!!
