BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1984
After what has been a really tough week especially here in the US. I want to wish everyone a great weekend. I also want to send out my thoughts and prayers to those affected in Boston and Texas. Have a great weekend everyone. Enjoy the music.

DISCO FRIDAY!
One of my all-time favorite dance/disco tracks! Not much is known about Lorraine McKane except that she released two full length albums for the Japanese market, “You make me feel brand new” and “Perfect Beat”. Released only as a 12″”Let The Night Take The Blame” is her best known track and was a constant request during mt dj days. Surprisingly the song did not make an impact on the US dance charts.
The song was released three times the original in 1984 and new remixes in 1986 and 1994.

Thank you
Thank you Paul for this record. I love this song.
I was shocked to find out that the version I’ve had is shorter.
As someone previously pointed out the style reminds me a lot of Pamela Nightingale.
Do you have “I’ll never fall in love again” and “A night to remember” ?
That would be awesome!
Thanks again.
u show me so many new songs and i thought i knew every top 40 in australia uk and usa . so many songs that are brilliant and not top 40 or only big on dance charts or rnb charts.
keep up gr8 wrk. if it wasn’t for youtube i’d be spending a lot of money.lol.
i could tell you about australian music between 83-89 when it was brilliant.
Great song! Lots of memories! Thank you
please re-up duran stuff Duran Duran – Planet Earth (US 12″ Promo), Duran Duran – Save A Prayer (German 12″), Duran Duran – Hungry Like The Wolf (UK 12″) please hope you re-up them thanks

Hi Paul,
A classic disco song!
Check out the cover by Italian act Digilove, a 1993 dance hit in Europe, I love it!
All the best,
Mark

Thank you Giorgio. Have a nice weekend my friend 🙂
I’m a huge disco fan (and former disco baby/dance floor addict) but I’ve never heard of Lorraine McCain. I’m looking forward to hearing this.
Also: I wanted to tell you how much I love your BTG equality graphic. The one on my Facebook shows two horizontal pepperoni pizzas!
Happy weekend, Paul and fans
Thank you Jbird hope you like the 12″ 🙂
Thank you thank you thank you DJ Paul – you are the best in the world!!!
BTW: The UK edition is shorter but has better quality then the US 12″.
Thank you Paul for that great Hi-NRG song ! Very similar to Pamela Nightingale’s “I’ll never fall in love again” (1985), written and produced by the same team.
Now Paul need to post also:
Pamela Nightingale – I’ll never fall in love again
Pamela Nightingale – A Night To Remember
Amanda Lucci – Cry Out In The Night
All of them sound the same and from the same team.
Let The Night Take The Blame was the first.
Also the “hithouse” remixes of Let The Night Take The Blame will be great.
Anyway, thanks Paul!
