“Hold Me” is a song by the American pop singer Laura Branigan, which was released in 1985 as the second single from her fourth studio album Hold Me. It was written by Bill Bodine and Beth Andersen, and produced by Jack White and Harold Faltermeyer.

Following the Top 40 success of the first single from Hold Me, “Spanish Eddie”, “Hold Me” was released as the follow-up single. It reached No. 82 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Chart and No. 39 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs Chart.

**”Spanish Eddie” is mislabeled on the label it is actually the LP Version.

Wow thank you Paul!! I feel this album, with Spanish Eddie, the title track and the first version of I Found Someone (no disrespect Cher!), is just as strong as her previous hit album. But for some reason it didn’t catch on with the record-buying public. A shame! Excited for this extended remix. I echo Jeff, I miss Laura Branigan too! What a talent. Thanks again.

Oh, how I miss Laura Branigan! Praise to you Paul (once again) for not letting her discography of dance singles languish. She was such a strong vocalist, kind of like our Pink and Kelly Clarkson of today!! The notes and the strength of her powerful voice makes me miss her oh so much! I’m delighted with you posting this.
