K&K always with quality songs, dancing and sweet vocals. Thx internet and people who share. GRATO, Paul!
Thanks for sharing this Paul. I was mainly interested in the Megamix and it does not disappoint. Keep up the great work my friend.
Thanks Paul. I can replace my good rip with an excellent rip. Thanks again.
Kent 🙂
Thanks for the awesome rip, Paul! I remember this song being a SMASH and yet it is almost a forgotten song of the 80s…never played on any flashback show. I have so many Kool and the Gang 12″s, cds, and vinyl and they are all terrific! My one disappointment with this song is they didn’t include any dubs or similar mixes like they did on the Emergency 12″. For those here who have not heard the Emergency mixes, do yourself a favor and go check them out! Fresh is my all time favorite Kool and the Gang song. Thank you… Read more »
Great 12″ Paul!! Thanks a lot. Loving all the variety you have been posting.
Hi Paul,
I like your funky week throw down. You must be feeling a little groovy.
Thanks for the wonderful songs selections.
Steve
It’s always fun to get your groove on 🙂
Thank you so much for the “Throwdown Mix”, it’s a celebration”! Please more funky stuff for a hot weekend!
You’re very welcome 🙂
Got it, LOVE it 🙂 The first of only three Kool & the Gang 12inches I ever bought (plus Cherish b/w Fresh-Misled medley and Fresh itself). I vividly remember that Stone Love was regarded as a very simple, too simple, song for Kool over here. I didn´t care. Heard it in a record shop and bought it. Les Adams´ megamix was the icing on the cake, needless to say. And now I have it in pristine DJ Paul quality in 24bit FLAC. What more could you want? Well, more Kool & the Gang, for starters 🙂 Thank you, Paul. Btw,… Read more »
Big Hugs right back Song And Dance!!

The U.S. 12″ which I don’t have at the moment includes a “House Mix” of “Stone Love” so I need to track that one down.
This is really exciting Paul!! You know me and the mega-mix, so I can not wait to hear this “Throwdown mix” of the band’s collective. Kool and the Gang were quite the 80’s staple on the charts. I first heard of them with “Hollywood Swinging” and then “Open Sesame” from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack album. When J.T. came on board with “Ladies Night” and the wedding anthem “Celebration” there was no turning back. I fully feel like I’m going to enjoy this mix and “Stone Love” too. This is a great week of funky flashback favorites Paul. Absolutely, terrific!!!… Read more »
J.T. was the icing on the cake and he is adorable. Love the vibe of this track it’s very addictive 🙂
