BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1988

Recreated samples of Spagna’s “Call Me” and the opening bars of the theme from the film The Magnificent Seven are also present in the song.

Great rip!!! Thank you for sharing this beauties!!!
Thanks Paul. 🙂
ha!
Club Mix is the version with Brazilian Portuguese intro 😀
“Ei, vamos dançar!”
“Ah, eu não sei…”
“A única coisa que você tem que fazer é mexer os seus pés!”
“Que música é essa, que está tocando?”
“Eu Não Te Entendo.”
“Eu Não Te Entendo? Eu não entendi!”
Thank you, Paul!
Increíble , no tengo palabras, gracias Pault!
Oh horror. Lost memories surfacing waves of clubby nights out with friends like mary y huana, seriously out of sync with the ones dancing and doing early versions of karaoke to this one while we were desperate to hear indie beats ( dancefloor would be one moment fully dressed in black with eyeliner and the next 10 minutes in bright pink and green with collars up and handbags at feet. Because our friends came from all directions it was the way of going out together, dj’s just mixed anything without loud booos. Would love to heard the other versions, especially… Read more »
Muy buen 12″. Muchos recuerdos, muchos buenos momentos. Gracias DjPaul.
You’re welcome Marceloide 🙂
Oh I love that song including the Hot Tracks Mix Reg mentioned.
The bonus beats and the excellent percapella were new to me – love them!
And who could forget the follow-up “Harry Houdini” and its awesome b-side “It Doesn´t Matter”.
I´d love to the the 12inch here 🙂
Just posted it today Song_and_Dance 🙂
yes! Great Sound! I love It
Thank you marcio ama luana 🙂
Ok, I just picked up a really clean, almost new copy of this record last week, however I thought there were more mixes on it… and here you post this record, with all six mixes…. so cool. When I first heard this back in the day, my untrained ear thought this sounded just like New Order, Tempation etc.
And now….Ok it still sounds a lot like New Order.
Thank you Paul, once again…..
I watched a video about this song and the band said they were going for New Order style vocals with a happy beat 🙂
Terrific! So glad you picked this Canadian version to rip. Much gratitude as always.
My pleasure Thomas 🙂
Another great post Paul!! I always loved the Lynn Anderson sample in this!
Its nice to have all of these mixes now.
Thank you cdmaniac 🙂
There’s a Disconet version of this that uses much more of Lynn Anderson’s lyrics from Rose Garden, would love to hear that if you ever find it. After years of searching on line all I have to show is a cruddy quality mp3.
edit – It’s this one, the Hot Tracks mix. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDtaJgXCrF8
Cool thank you! 🙂
I’ve been hoping for this one to come up for ages. Loving it. But do you have the Spagna 12″ to pass onto us? (Or maybe the Harry Houdini Kon Kan follow up.)
I will check 🙂
Wow love this song. Thanks so much for posting. Hoping for Puss n Boots and Harry!!!!! Thanks again PAUL!!!
You’re welcome Tim 🙂
Great track, looking forward to hearing the various mixes.
Cheers Paul 🙂
Enjoy Mark 🙂

You’re welcome Carlos 🙂
Wow Paul!!! Stunned again!! How cool to have this song from its original label. Karen and I so loved Kon Kan. I so enjoyed all the samples included on this record and, of course, led me to Barry Harris, who, along with Chris Cox became the powerhouse remix duo: Thunderpuss 2000!! Gosh, these guys did so many awesome remixes that really took one’s breath away on a banging sound system. You really make my brain start thinking with all the fond memories of music and all. And back to Kon Kan, so many of their music I really loved, like… Read more »
