Hello,
A favourite song also for me. I pretty like the way german people pronounce English. very sweet.
It was a radio hit here in France but didn’t sell much.
Btw, the 7″ version have less drom in the mix and not drum at all during the intro and 2 first verses.
I tend to agree with others here, this is a gem of a song. I mean heavy rotation good that I had never heard of before. Thanks for sharing this song Paul. Seriously good stuff here folks.
I’ve returned to this a few times since you posted it, quite an unusual track. The last two thirds of this extended version is great — I have to say that the parts without vocals are where the track shines. Another one I never would have heard without your site. Really cool cover design too isn’t it.
Ditto Paul, first time for me to hear this song and I LOVE it!! Thanks for sharing this hidden gem!!
Wow! i did not know pre-“Brand New Toy” activities of Jeremy Days singer. First time heard this track today, sound great.
Thanks!
This is new to me Paul. I’m still at work, but before going home to download your post, I decided to check out the song on YouTube. I first played the video clip and then listened to the extended version. I must say that the more I heard the song, the better it was. It’s definitely a track that will grow on me with consecutive plays. I love these new introductions to music that is new to me Paul. And Daniel really made me get interested in the song. I know all too well when there is a song that… Read more »
You’re welcome, Jeff. I admit the song did grow on me more and more after I listened to it several times. Now I think it’s great 🙂 Hope some folks give it a spin.
Jeff/DjPaul – you are right, this one is a real grower. It reminds me just a bit of Nik Kershaw which of course is a good thing. Thanks!
Oh Paul you make me the happiest man right now! I’ve been waiting for this post for such a very long time (you know it…). This song was often played on a local radio station back in 1985. I promptly fell in love with it. Unfortunately it didn’t chart anywhere and no other single was released. I can’t wait to listen to this rip but I’m sure it is brilliant like everytime. Thanks a million Paul for sharing with us this much underrated single and giving it a chance to be discovered by your followers. Maybe some of them will… Read more »
You’re welcome Daniel I was happy to fill your request 🙂
I’m so glad that you and Jeff like it. Your rip sounds fantastic like it has been remastered from the original master tape. I’m completely overjoyed. It means the world to me. You are the only one that makes my musical dreams come true. You are my music angel. I will always be grateful. Lucky me.
