Thanks for this one! I loved this song so much when it came out. I love the whole album, really. I was disappointed that she never achieved much chart success after that album, because she is a tremendously talented singer and songwriter.
Wow Super gracias Pault.
Wow, Paul…THANKS!!! Great song and you absolutely never hear it on the radio or any flashback shows/compilations. It’s too bad because I think it’s so catch. Reminds me of J Geils Band songs of the early 80s. I remember this being a relative hit in CT that year. On a side note, do you think you could tag this (and future) posts as a “dub” so we can have a webpage/filter that shows all 12″s that have dub mixes? I could send you a list of the 12″s on your site that have dubs if that will help you. Thanks… Read more »
You’re welcome, Fred. Adding a “Dub” tag is not part of my routine when I am doing a post so I will try to remember to add it. Alternatively if you go to the left column of the web site where it says search site you can type in “Dub” and it will pull up posts with a dub.
I should have mentioned that I already tried that…it puts the posts in random order and I don’t know if the search is actually capturing all posts that have dubs (because there is no order and thus I cannot check). On the other hand, if I click on say the 1988 tag, it shows me all the 1988 posts in reverse order (newest post to oldest post) which is quite nice.
Anyway, if it’s possible to put on your checklist that would be killer. 🙂
I just love this song!! Thank you Paul so much for posting the dance and dub mixes. It’s so darn catchy and once you get it in your head, you’ll be singing it for the rest of the day. Miss Carnes is a great musician and I love that voice of hers. I am so happy Burning The Ground appreciates her as much as I do.
Jeff
You’re welcome, Jeff 🙂
