“Most of All” is a song by American singer Jody Watley from her 1987 eponymous debut studio album. It was released on April 18, 1988, as the fifth and final single from the Jody Watley album.

“Most of All” was the least successful of the five singles released from the Jody Watley album. It peaked at number 60 on the US Billboard Hot 100 but did find success on the Dance Club Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts, where it reached numbers eight and eleven, respectively. The song was produced by Patrick Leonard and was co-written by Gardner Cole, both of whom had been involved with Madonna’s 1986 album, True Blue.

So cool — thanks so much for this one! This remix of “Most of All” is one of my all-time favorite remixes. It was an instant favorite from the moment I first bought Jody Watley’s solo debut, easily my favorite song on the album. I bought the 12″ single, of course, and loved it even more! I’m so glad you’re giving us a meticulous 24-bit transfer!

Love Jody. Her single for “Still A Thrill” was posted on here a while ago, I play that to this day too.

I remember her working with David Morales in 1991 on the single for “I’m The One You Need” Another favourite of mine.

Thanks Paul 🙂

I love when you post / re-post one of your favorite artists. I always rejoice in the fact that these are very special posts indeed. I love how this track was written by Patrick Leonard. His Madonna penned tracks were some of her best. I so miss the 80’s. Yes, call me old, but music just isn’t the same. Sure, there are records and artists today that I do like, but I don’t seem to be like everyone else who likes the pop of today. I wish I could say that I do like more of the sounds of “now”… Read more »
