It was later featured on Go West’s third studio album, Indian Summer, in 1992. The song reached number three in Canada, number six in Australia, number eight in the United States, and number 18 in the United Kingdom. Reminds me of better times. Thanks, Paul.
Amazing to see this – I’ve never come across a US 12″ for this song, and man, I looked. I wound up mail-ordering one from Germany; it has a different cover, and most of the same tracks (Gass’ mix, acapella and the single mix) – the timings are different by a few seconds in most cases, but close enough to surely be the same renditions. The only difference is that instead of having the edit version, there’s a B-side called “Tears Too Late.” Great addition to your excellent site!
Thank you very much for the upgrade Paul.
Wow, this is a great one! One of my very favorite songs from the beginning of the ’90s. I was already a big fan of Go West, but this song immediately became my favorite of theirs.
I’ve got the 12″ single and even a promo CD single with some of the different mixes, but your transfers are by far the best-sounding versions of the songs! This will make a nice upgrade from the previous version you posted, which I’ve listened to countless times.
Thank you, David. If I remember correctly the “Club Mix” on this 12″ is different than the one used on the CD single the CD is an edited-down version.
Thanks for the re-rip! Go West are one of my all-time favourite bands.
Thankfully they are still going strong. I have seen them live many times. They are very approachable and have always been happy to meet fans and sign autographs. I am excited for the release of their new box set celebrating their first album. I hope we get more box sets, particularly for Indian Summer.
You’re welcome FlufftPaws. I never had the chance to see Go West live here in the states but I have heard like you said that they are very approachable. 🙂
hi paul, i’m always glad to see a group i like, and then find out other people like it too. although i think they have much better songs than this. they did do a lot of songs for movies too. i just wish their earlier songs did a lot better on the charts. but oh well. i didn’t even realize there was a 12 inch remix for this. because i had switched over to cd’s at that point. but now i have it on cassette too. thanks for highlighting this band, and maybe with the boxset release from the first… Read more »
You’re welcome 🙂
Aww yeaa! $200 worth of pudding like Barry and Lavon.
Jammin’ some BTG vault finds such as Parachute, Grace Jones and the Omnipotent Mega Mixx!
AWESOME! This song has been in my head since the Box Set announcement. Thanks, I didnt have any mixes!!
You’re welcome! Enjoy 🙂
This is one of my favourite Go West tracks – many thanks for the upload 🙂
My other fave GW tune is Don’t Look Down – if you could see your way to ripping the US remixes for that song that would be just fantastic!
Thanks again!!
You’re welcome, Steven I will see what I can do 🙂
Thanks Paul, had this last time you kindly ripped this before. An external drive with all your previous goodies died on me, so very pleased to have this today and it sounds even better. Many thanks for all your hard work. Much appreciated!! More Go West if possible!
Thanks so much, John I am glad I was able to replace one of the songs you lost. 🙂
Who can forget this one!
It is a good one 🙂
Thank you Paul for this terrific new transfer!! Great song from a great soundtrack!
Thank you so much Retro Hound 🙂
Oh Paul! You are such a dear heart. Thank you for re-ripping this track. I was disappointed not seeing this included on their upcoming box set, but I understand that they were concentrating more on their first album. Still, this is such a favorite of mine, and it has EDITS on the track and that makes it extra special to me. I still and will always love the cut and splice percussive effects!! You are so wonderful the way you rip records. Believe me when I tell you that they sound better than what “re-masters” from original tapes sound! I… Read more »
I appreciate all of your praises, Jeff my motto has always been to do my best. Have fun listening 🙂
Excited to see this pop up – one of my favorite 80s bands. Thanks for this, and as always thanks for your amazing transfers including the chance to DL 24-bit. You rock!
Thanks so much, Grant 🙂
