BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1987
Don’t Look Down was a 1985 hit for the successful English pop duo Go West. It was released in the UK where it reached #13 and New Zealand where it reached #10. The song was remixed later that year and released as a new single, under the title “Don’t Look Down – The Sequel”. Two years later, this version of the song was released to the American market and appeared on the American version of the band’s Dancing on the Couch album; this single became their first Top 40 hit in the States, reaching #39.
The remixes that are contained on this 12″ are exclusive to this US release.

Thanks Paul. I never knew this version existed.
WOW! What a Christmas Gift! I love Go West, and hadn’t a clue there was a US 12″ to this track. Thank you so much, Paul!!!!
You’re welcome Silver Blue! Happy Christmas!
Awesome!
This is one on my Discogs wantlist as I have the Bangs & Crashes Remix CD and their first four UK 12″s.
And I really prefer the Bruce Forest remixes to the UK one.
It’s Paul to the rescue again!!! Thank you sir!
hey you’re welcome Ric! By the way what is your Discogs name? I’d like to look at your wantlist.
Sure, Paul.
Please check your email
25 years down the line, it’s always a pleasure to come up with “new” mixes of songs as great as this, one of my favourite Go West tracks.
Keep up the good work, Paul!
Thanks Josmon10 🙂
Lovin this!! Would love to see Cross The Border US 12″ as well.
If you are refering to Icehouse. I am pretty sure I have already posted that one before.
Thanks Paul – Omar – the 7″ version here is definately different to the one that was released as UK 7″
You’re welcome Sheryl!
Is the 7″ an offical version or is it a diffenet one Paul ? I thought it ran at 4.21 min
Hi Omar I just listened to my US 7″ and it does sound like the same mix. I do know an alternate version was released in 1985 in the UK.
So these weren’t on the Bangs & Crashes remix album? Superb! Thank you again Paul.
you’re welcome Dan! The only mix that appeared on “Bangs & Crashes” was Don’t Look Down (The Stratospheric Mix) which appeared on the UK 12″ as well.
