It was originally used in Giorgio Moroder’s 1984 restoration and edit of the 1927 silent film Metropolis, as part of the film’s new soundtrack. In 1985, the film was nominated at the 5th Golden Raspberry Awards for Worst Musical Score, and the song itself was nominated for Worst Original Song. Ah, the lost Queen song. This was worked up during sessions for The Works. They gave it to Moroder in return for use of footage from Metropolis for the Radio Ga-Ga video. It was revealed during one of the fan club conventions that Queen all appear on this.

Hey Paul. Wow, thanks once again for your latest rips. Have you any more of the solo Freddie stuff? Classic 80s dance and so rare to find from Mr Bad Guy. Love your work, really takes me back to my youth when music was so much better, thanks for all your hard work

Killer song from this two legends, what a combination!
I was positively surprised when this came out, yes Queen did some great dance songs, the No.1 all time classic Another One Bites The Dust, of course, and some great funk stuff on the Hot Space album, but Freddie to team up with Giorgio WOW!!!
Around here the song was big, on the radio and in the clubs!

Congratulations for his Freddie Mercury posting – Love Kills (US 12 “).

I’m sure that soon we will post, for my joy and so many others his fan, Cerrone – Supernature ’86 (UK 12 “).

Great song by Freddie. Always loved it, Moroder at his best too. Never understood why it wasn’t a worldwide smash hit. Thanks for this post.

This is a fantastic posting Paul. I’ve been waiting for it for a while now, and it feels so good to have you do a new re-rip of the song. Thanks Paul for putting out these older postings that haven’t been up for some time.

Have a nice day!

Jeff
