BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1987
“Postcards From Paradise” is a song by British alternative rock band Flesh for Lulu taken from their most successful album, “Long Live The New Flesh”.
“Postcards From Paradise” didn’t chart as a single but was later revived by both Paul Westerberg (2002) and the Goo Goo Dolls (2010).
Producer Mike Hedges was active in the 80s and 90s. He had previously worked with Marc Almond and went on to work with The Beautiful South, among others.

I love this song! Always thought they would be a big as Echo & The Bunnymenn
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!
Hope there’s more to come from Flesh For Lulu 🙂
Classic to the core! Pure New Wave music here. Plus been a long time fan of Justin Strauss remixes. Thank you for this!
You’re welcome Gilbert 🙂
What a suprise! One of the very best tracks of the 80s. Many people new to this song will come to appreciate it. For me, after listening to the 2003 remaster cd which has both the 7 inch and 12 inch, I have come to realize I like the single version a lot more than the extended, which is a rare exception.
Enjoy martijn 🙂
Thank you Paul . Please keep the rare new wave coming. Can u post anything By Fashion,Red Box or Belouis Some that you’ve not posted before?
You’re welcome Omar. Yes I will be posting more of those artists 🙂
Hey Paul, I was so hoping that one day you’d post more Flesh For Lulu singles, and that day has finally arrived!! Thank you so much for continuing their discography with your most celebrated rips. I’m not familiar with the extended version of this record but I’m hoping to really get into it. Thanks, once again, for sharing your beautiful work with us.
Jeff
Hope you like the edits Jeff 🙂
