Fiction Factory – Ghost Of Love (Special Dance Mix) (UK 12″)

BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1983

A. Front

“Ghost of Love” is the second single from New Wave band Fiction Factory which appeared on the band’s debut album, Throw the Warped Wheel Out. The single was the last charting single for the band, peaking at #64 in the UK. It was written solely by lead singer Kevin Patterson. Cherry Pop has released the bands debut album on CD and included these tracks. However as is the case with many of their releases the remaster is sub-par and the tracks are sourced from vinyl.

Feels Like Heaven is a New Wave classic and this follow-up often gets overlooked. Thanks for reviving it here on BTG, and yes, as the Cherry Red remasters are vinyl-sourced, why not get it direct and better from BTG?!?! You go, Paul!

So happy Paul about you posting this Fiction Factory record. I’m not too familiar with their discography, but it’s such a rush to have you introduce me to such excellent music. I love that you post a lot of dance rock 12-inches. New Wave is one of my favorite genres and in your hands, we can’t go wrong. Cherry Red needs to get in touch with you for vinyl rips of this outstanding quality. I salute you once again. Still loving the Hot Tracks issue you posted. The more I listen, the better it gets. You’ve made my year with… Read more »
