Exposé – Come Go With Me (US 12″)

BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1986

A. Front

“Come Go with Me” is a single by the freestyle girl group Exposé. The song was written by producer and group founder Lewis Martineé and appears on their 1987 debut album, Exposure. Jeanette Jurado sings the lead vocal on “Come Go with Me”, with Gioia Bruno and Ann Curless singing backup.

In 1985, Exposé had two dance club hits, “Point of No Return” and “Exposed to Love”. Between 1985 and 1986, the three original members of Exposé left the group and were replaced by Jeanette Jurado, Ann Curless and Gioia Bruno. These new members re-recorded vocals on “Point of No Return”, and both songs were included on the album. Although “Come Go with Me” was the first single released from Exposure, the other two songs were familiar to fans of the group and its music.

“Come Go with Me” became the group’s first single to reach the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It peaked at #5 in April 1987 and remained in the Top 40 for 12 weeks. On the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart, the song spent two weeks at the summit in January of that year, becoming their second song to achieve this feat (following “Point of No Return”). The 12″ single also reached #2 on the Billboard Hot Dance Singles Sales chart.

Is there hope for a reupload? I don’t seem to find a vinyl rip anywhere else on the internet. It would be greatly appreciated. Greetings from Germany

Hello Paul, first of all I hope you’re fine. Your website is really AMAZING, I’ve got too many Maxi Single in Vinyl in mind conditions since I was 12 years old, I’ve always loved music and remixes, I’m from Venezuela and it is too difficult to make donations from here because of the exchange control policies. You deserve a big donation for this wonderful job. As soon as I can leave this country I’m going to donate all my vinyls to you. I would like to know if you got the Up Front – Infatuation Vinyl to be ripped, I… Read more »

This sure brings back good childhood memories of recording this off of a radio station onto cassette! 🙂 I am excited to find out what’s going to be included in the upcoming remastered version of their very first album, Exposure. Read that it will contain 158 minutes of music! :))

Hi…where are you reading about an upcoming 2-cd remastered album? I’ve googled quite a bit and find no mention of it. If it’s 158 mins of music, that’s a boatload of bonus stuff because the original cd is only 42 mins. Hopefully the bonuses are ALL the remixes of the hits on Exposure.

There is facebook group named Cherry Pop! that talks about anything and everything 80s. Vinny Vero who works or collaborates with record companies that releases reissue albums just announced that he is working on the upcoming Exposure reissue. To quote him, “I can confirm that Ann, Gioia and Jeanette will be contributing to the collection!” In addition, he also mentioned that Lewis A. Martineé, the album’s producer and songwriter, is contributing to the liner notes, as well. That means all four members of the original creative team behind “Exposure” will be sharing their recollections and expertise to make this the… Read more »

First off, I really hope you are feeling better Paul. I do worry about you with all that you’re doing to bring us the best rips on the planet!!! Always take your time, especially with the manual click removal. I’m really surprised you strive to post five days a week with all the hard work that’s entailed. You are certainly the perfectionist and it shows day in and day out. Again, you are Mr. Extraordinary!!! I’m really stimulated by this song. Wow, I’m so jazzed to have the dub version as well. You really have no idea how happy this… Read more »
