Hi Paul, any idea why the special dance version has the voice so smoothed out? I know it’s not your transfer because I’ve heard different rips and all have the same problem.. I don’ t understand if it’s done on purpose by the original engineer or was somehow mastered wrong.
Thank you! I didn’t have this. I easily found a conversion file, but still need to check the quality on something better than my computer speakers. I appreciate you continuing to do this after all the challenges. take care!
Great song! Thank you very much Paul!!!
I saw there’s no FLAC 24/96 option anymore now, right?
Best wishes from Argentina,
Gonzalo
Realmente muy buen tema, gracias por el aporte, ojala las consultas que te hice, en referencia a algunos temas que recuerdo pero no tengo las versiones, los puedas obtener, reitero mis agradecimientos
Thank you so much for this! The remix on side A is (was) one of the few Eurythmics tracks missing from my collection. I have a copy of the 12″, but my version has the album mix. As always, thank you so much for everything you do.
Thank you Paul, this was posted in 2010?
I’ve always loved Grown Up Girls. I played that as much as the A-side. Thanks Paul!
I don’t think I ever had this extended mix and the b side is new for me. Thank you Paul.
Thank you!
Beautiful for eternity. Yes, it´s been played a gazillion times but quality is quality. I never was very fond of this remix and prefer the original long (album) version but it´s nice to have it and hear it again.
I just love the Eurythmics and could listen to their music all day long.
Thanks, Paul.
A really nice surprise to see this release on BTG. Can’t wait to hear this version.
Cheers Paul.
Thanks, Paul! I’ve never heard this song before. On a side note, the stereo imaging on this mix is very weird…almost like it was Mono. Side B has a much more normal stereo image and so do other songs on my computer. I’m listening to these tracks on headphones.
Anyone have any info? Even the regular version on youtube sounds better as far as stereo imaging: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCdneDxFRYQ
Thanks again! Very nice song to hear for the first time!
One of my favorite songs of all times, from any artist. I love this version, although I do wish they would have used all the vocals. It’s a near tragedy that more of Eurythmics’ 12″ single versions weren’t included on the remastered CDs. A nice expanded CD of “Touch Dance” would have been a great start, although they could have easily done two-disc versions of each album with all the edits and B-sides that were released on vinyl. Thank you for such a pristine rip, you really do spoil us. 🙂
Thank you Paul for continuing to post Eurhythmic singles on your site. I still love when the band did more synth-oriented stuff compared to records like this one. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I love the entire Eurhythmics discography, but I really love it when they’re more “hauntingly electronic” as in their older performances. Annie Lennox’s warm voice melded perfectly with Dave Stewart’s cold electronics. If they ever returned to recording again, I’d love it if they’d return to these synth-pop stylings of their older material. However, this single is a fabulous one and I love the harmonica on it.… Read more »
thanks Paul.
Thanks Paul for the music.
Good version at There Must Be An Angel.
Thanks, Paul.
