Song was huge in L.A. – It was on heavy rotation on KROQ and they even played the video on local TV.
I was surprised I knew this song once I listened to it. Great stuff; thanks for sharing. And I, too, am enamored of the sleeve art.
omg i havent heard this the 80’s… in fact i had forgotten re it
u rock DJPaul
Hi Paul, Happy New Year first! 🙂 Once in a while I have to say thanks for all your great posts. Since this is a very special one from my point of view I take the opportunity for a BIG THANK YOU. As an old fan of MARILLION all the earlier stuff done by their (second) singer Steve Hogarth is of special interest for me. Of course, I was familiar with this tune and also the extended version, but since I don’t own an original copy of the 12″ it’s awesome to have this now in such great and clear… Read more »
Happy New Year to you as well 1980-F. You’re vey welcome I really hope that you enjoy this record 🙂
vere good so much my friend!
Thank you Harry Wave 🙂
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
I was thinking of this the other day & couldnt remember the title or artist.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard the 12″
You’re welcome Cdmaniac 🙂
Just for the record, and the trivia: When Europeans folded Steve Hogarth and Colin Woore made a great new wave band called “How We Live”, the released one single called “All The Time In The World” with an awesome mix in the late 80’s. If someone could share the extended remix pleeeeaaaseeee do so! Is a great great song! And since 1989 Steve Hogarth is the lead singer and front man of the band Marillion. And have recorded great stuff as a session musician with Tony Childs, The The, Blue Yonder among others. The only place to find the albums… Read more »
Hello Seb,
I have the 12″ of “All The Time In A World” by HOW WE LIVE, also a lossless rip of the “Dry Land” album (original pressing without bonus tracks) and most of the EUROPEANS stuff. Just tell me how to contact you.
If it is ok for Paul I could also upload the 12″ Version to a filehosting service and provide the link here.
My vinyl rips are of very good quality, too. 😉
Cheers

Hi 1980-F I would rather you share links via email. That way there is not a flood of visitors to this comment.. Thanks my friend 🙂
Hi 1980-F!
Thanx for sharing those great projects by H. This is my e-mail: sebastiancorteseditor2@gmail.com
And Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Been looking for that stuff for ages.
And for DjPaulT, thanx again for keeping this lovely website, and you should listen to How We Live too, it’s really a great sounding band. This particular single -All the time in the world- should have been a hit, maybe in a paralel universe…
Thanx again!
Is that Warren Cuccurello from Missing Personz / Duran ?
No Mike C. Here is the lineup:
Steve Hogarth – keyboards, programming, lead vocals
Colin Woore – guitars
Ferg Harper – bass, lead vocals
Geoff Dugmore – drums
Thanks! Top right of the back cover – spitting image.
This song (and the band) is new to me but it’s a cool new wave song.
Thanks for posting this Paul.
You’re welcome Ziv 🙂
Thanks Paul for this excellent rarity .
You’re welcome Omar 🙂
Again Paul, thank you for this phenomenal posting!!! Every time I hear this track I want to strip to the waist, put on face paint and dance till I pass out!! Great energy. Oooh, I so hope everyone’s going to like this song. It’s like an Adam and the Ants record on steroids in way, because of the yelps and war cries!!! You’re dynamite for this!!!!
Jeff
You’re welcome Jeff I’m feeling a bit tribal myself. I can just picture it BTG readers all over the world half naked wearing war paint and dancing around their living rooms lol.
You’ve out new-waved me for the second week – seriously never heard of this. Hope it’s a belter. 🙂
ha ha you’re gonna love it Jermajesty 🙂
I don’t remember this. I can’t understand it not charting, that a aside, I like it!
Thanks fro the rip Paul. 🙂
Happy to hear you like it Ex15 🙂
Wow, I’m embarrassed to say I don’t think I know this one. Looking forward to giving it a listen.
No need to be embarrassed Mothloop. I think you will like it 🙂
Mothloop, you’re in for a real treat. A new wave station in Philadelphia called I-92 played this track back in the day. I owe them a debt of gratitude for it was this station that introduced me to Ministry’s first album “With Sympathy” and Wide Boy Awake, Soft Cell’s “Sex Dwarf” and, in honor of your name, Shriekback!!! The 80’s were so outstanding and “Animal Song” is a kick-ass classic record. I hope you love it as much as I do.
Jeff
What a fun track, I do dig it! Indeed I had never heard it before. You have great taste Jeff (obviously, if you visit BTG every day, duh). The 80s were without question a blast… so many fond memories!
I’m about to have a coronary Paul!!! WOW and HOT DAMN!!! I was just thinking about this song today and I was even going to send you my copy for you to consider sharing it with your readers and low and behold, here it is!!! THIS RECORD is one of my favorite jams of all time. So sad that few people know about it. It’s only been on a “Hit That Perfect Beat” compilation on CD but does seem to be ignored. I remember Beavis & Butt Head commenting on the video once on their show, but this single has… Read more »
Jeff be careful would hate to loose you lol 🙂 I absolutely love this record so catchy and so danceable. I had to have the uK version because the picture sleeve is so cool. The video is amazing too pure 80’s. I really hope my readers give this one a try it’s a must have.
I haven’t heard or thought of this song in quite a while. Thanks for the refresher course. It’s a fun one! 🙂
I agree Woz a true lost 80’s gem. Love it!
