BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1982
“First-Last-For Everything” is the second single released by Scottish pop band Endgames. Produced by Steve Levine (soon famed for the production work with Culture Club). It found success in clubs in Europe and North America, receiving significant airplay in Canada, especially on the “alternative” radio station CFNY-FM (Toronto), while in the US it was a club success. Eventually it charted in the Billboard magazine Hot Dance Music/Clup Play Chart, peaking at No. 31.

why so many downloads are not available?
Because I cannot keep them available forever I have to make room on my hosting service for new uploads.
thank you for answering 😉
Hi Paul, any chance of a re-upload if this and other Endgames? Thanks!
Thank you so much for this gem! I always thought this Endgames release should have been a much bigger hit. It was “of the moment” at the time of it’s release – beautifully spanning the alternative/dance and emerging electro sounds du jour. The dub was always one of my favorites (along with the signature synthesiser flourishes). FANTASTIC PAUL!!!
Thanks, Paul. Much appreciated.
MORE Endgames, please!
Endgames was a very underrated band. “Building beauty” was such an amazing album, it’s one of my favourite. I wonder why such treasures are not released on CD. Didn’t know about this early single. It wasn’t included on the album but wow, it sounds great!! Thank you so much for this rip.
Request for
Louie Louie – Brother Louie.
🙂
It’s a fantastic 1990s cover of the Hot Chocolate track. The cover version was produced by George Michael.
Loved Endgames! Great single — one of several that didn’t receive enough recognition.
I agree VanceMan totally over looked band 🙂
Such a great first album – has there been a reissue of it? With the varying 12″s it could be a nice repackage
Endgames – Miracle In My Heart 12″ in flac please!!!
See what I can do radema 🙂
This was a huge radio hit here in Toronto. Thanks!
You’re welcome David 🙂
A great track indeed! One of the Endgames 12’ers I didn’t have. I with (4) Tony’s comment as well. Thank you Paul.
You’re welcome RA 🙂
Well, how the heck do you do that, dear Paul? I do not recall ever having heard about that 12inch. It´s great! A great song with a great dub mix as far as my taste is concerned.
Another excellent choice.
Thank you very much.
S´n´D
You’re welcome Song and Dance 🙂
An old friend of mine reminded me that we saw Endgames live on 20 Dec 1983, supporting Depeche Mode on their Contruction Time Again Tour in Bremen high up in the north of Germany. I was and still am astonished – I haven´t got the faintest memory of the Endgames show. Can you believe that??? I definitely saw depeche at the Stadthalle Bremen but Endgames??? I can´t recall if my life depended on it. Ok, I was 15 back then but still – it´s scary 🙂
A million thanks for this excellent post, DjPaul!! You made my day 🙂
It’s shocking that Endgames has not received a deluxe CD treatment with all their singles & B-sides.
I don’t think any of their albums have ever been issued on CD such a shame.
Hi Paul. Hope you had a very nice birthday yesterday. We were thinking about you the whole day!!
Thanks for this record. I love when you post alternative classics here on BTG. I’m in Heaven!!
Jeff
I had a great birthday thank you Jeff. I hope that you like this one another one of my favorites 🙂
Very nice selection Paul. Thanks!
You’re welcome Thomas Pancoast 🙂
Thanks Paul for these rare beauties. Do you have any Private Lives singles as well out of the blue?
I think I might have one of their singles Omar 🙂
