“I Don’t Wanna Go on with You Like That” is a hit song from British performer Elton John’s 1988 album, Reg Strikes Back. The song was written by John and his long-time songwriting partner, Bernie Taupin. The song reached #30 on the UK Singles Chart. It fared better in the United States, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in August 1988, kept out of the top spot by fellow British singer (and vocal collaborator) George Michael’s hit single, “Monkey”. Would you have the “Who Wears These Shoes?” 12″ Single?
thanks Paul ! i have never heard the I Don’t Wanna Go On With You Like That (Just For Radio) mix before !
You’re welcome, Robert 🙂
Great post Paul! The 12 inches of Elton are being ignored by Universal constantly on every box set and compilation they released so far. So we need to turn to you for perfect vinyl Elton John rips. Hope you will do some more in the near future, because he surely made some great 12 inches! Thanks for this one.
I have more Elton so yes there will be more in the future 🙂
Excellent Paul! Really looking forward to them.
Thanks for bringing this one back. I also think it’s a shame that 12-inch mixes are ignored when CD sets come out. But maybe Elton may surprise us and give us what we all may want.
Jeff
You’re welcome, Jeff 🙂
Fantastic!! Elton John’s comeback and return to the top of the charts! One of my favorite albums of his with the emphasis on upbeat dance pop – a standout in his catalog. Thanks for posting Paul!!
You’re welcome Retro Hound 🙂
One of the best 12″ mixes ever in my opinion. I used to dance on it in the clubs back then. I received Elton’s “Jewel Box” a few days ago. Fortunately we have you Paul to remaster these jewels. Thank you so much. It would also… Read more »
I agree Daniel one of the best. Many time 12″ mixes were considered throw-away tracks and the masters were lost or not kept it is really sad.
Thank you! This song brings back some good memories.
You’re welcome, Skiler 🙂
thank you! i always thought this and ONJ’s The Rumour are a marriage made in 12″ heaven.
They are I used to mix them together during my DJ sets 🙂
