Duran Duran – All She Wants Is (House Dub) (Netherlands 12″)

BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1988

A. Front

“All She Wants Is (House Dub)” is a Duran Duran 3-track 12″ single, released in the Netherlands by EMI-Electrola during 1988.

With alternate artwork designed by Hans Arnold, the 12″ features three versions of Duran Duran’s eighteenth single “All She Wants Is”. The three recordings on this 12″ were also released in Germany as a CD single which contained a pressing erroe that affected most copies of the CD.

“All She Wants Is” had a bigger impact in the UK than its predecessor (“I Don’t Want Your Love”), hitting the top ten; it was the last of twelve UK top ten hits for Duran Duran during the 1980s.
In Europe as in the United States the single became a smash dance hit, reaching the #1 positions on the dance charts.

Yes indeed you are a legend Paul. Class song and mixes. I’ve only came here to say what someone else said about the tags but you already know now clearly. Also tagged as All she wants is house mix) rather than All she wants is (House mix). You may already know that too! Thanks for upload

This is probably my favorite Duran Duran song. I love the original with the Latin Rascal edits on them especially. The track erupts with orgasmic energy. Looking forward to checking these versions out Paul. I say it everytime, but WOW, you really put your heart and soul into these rips. Reading how long it takes you, I mean…..GOSH!!! That’s a HUGE undertaking. But so worth it in the end. You’re my new hero Paul, in every way!!!

I actually prefer this to I Don’t Want Your Love, and one reason that this did better in the UK is that it was released in January, a period of weak music sales post Christmas/New Year rush. I Don’t Want Your Love, however, was released in October the previous year, and the third quarter poses the stiffest sales/chart competition.
BTW, the original title for this is All She Wants Is Sex, but Duran chickened out in the end, for obvious reasons. LOL!
Thanks for posting this rare Dub 12″, Paul!
Shep’s House Mixes are awesome!

Hi Paul,

Please, please repost Mick Jagger Ruthless People single. I used to have it with the picture sleeve. This is one of my favorite songs. The b-side rocks too. Hard to find now. I would be glad to donate if you could. Also I’m sure there are others who missed it the first time too. Thank you!

Best,
M

Ps, your ID3 tags are incorrect for track 1 on the mp3 – it says the same info as track 2.

Not sure if the FLACs are the same as haven’t grabbed them yet. 🙂

I think my mate had this back in the day (was a big Durannie) and we used to play it endlessly. Pretty sure it’s this one, will know in a few secs.

Wonder why these mixes didn’t make it to the singles box-set that got released in 2005?

I remember loving and being transfixed by the sleeve graphics Duran were using at the time, seemed very much not them, but was new and exciting anyway.

Thanks Paul!

They’re keeping them back so punters go and buy the next anniversary remaster (2018 ??).

Hmm, well with them being Shep mixes, I wonder if they were commissioned by a EMI label other than the UK one. That can be a spanner in the works when it comes to publishing.

I know Mute couldn’t add many Sire-commissioned mixes (promo and commercial, including Shep’s) to the UK Depeche Mode and Erasure box sets due to such issues. I expect it would be easier with EMI-owned labels, foreign and domestic, but it might still be a cause.
