BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1985
REQUEST
“My Heart Goes Bang (Get Me To The Doctor)” is a 1985 song by the British band Dead or Alive. It was the fourth and final single from the band’s second studio album Youthquake. It charted at #23 in the United Kingdom, #12 in Japan, and became a dance hit in the U.S.
The “American ‘WIPE-OUT’ Mix” is about 25 seconds longer than the version that appears on the Japanese 12″ that I posted in 2012 and does not appear on the newly released Sophisticated Boom Box MMXVI because the label was not able to find the master recording. Also of note “Big Daddy Of The Rhythm (Live)” and “My Heart Goes Bang (Get Me To The Doctor) (Instrumental Version)” are new 2016 re-rip transfers.

Hi! I’ve downloaded the 24-bit version twice. Both times I tried to unzip the file, I was only able to get track 2.
Did it happen to anyone else?
Thanks!
Thank you SOOOO much for filling my request of this PaulT. You are amazing!
Hi Paul
Thanks for another excellent rip. I seem to recall Pete wasn’t a fan of this mix, and to be honest I’m with him on that one. Not to sound ungrateful (!) but is there any chance you’ll be posting the first 12″ as well?
Keep well
Jonathan
Paul – A belated thanks for this. My Heart Goes Bang is fast becoming my favourite Dead Or Alive track. It’s the first one I played after I heard the news. I smiled and then cried at the irony of it all.
I don’t think the 7″ version will ever be beat, it’s so dark compared to the fluffy album version, just by changing the key (pitch?) slightly. Great to have this extended version of that version!
Thank you.
x
Thanks! Great companion piece to the box set. Do you have the Balearic 12″ of REBEL REBEL? That was another missing track 🙁
That’s some nice pre-apocalyptic black humor. We are nearer to being Dead then Alive, although our Heart still goes Bang, no Doctor can cure us when the American Trumposaurus
Wipes Out the entire human race. You just have a few weeks to post your favourite tracks,
that are not already posted, before the Trumpozombies get hold of the nukes.
BTW fantastic sounding rip! Better to rip then to R.I.P. LOL
It is beginning to look a bit scary all we can do is pray that there will be some level headed people in the swamp that will not do destructive things.
Thanks, as always, Paul for another wonderful upload and the time you take to keep these great pieces of history alive.
Mourning what (and the time the admins spent on the site) right now, so glad you do all the work you do.
If there’s anything you’re looking for, please let me know at the email. Figure you had access to it before, it’s now harder on some of those items.
Thank you Noname will keep you in mind 🙂
Love love love Dead or Alive! Another rarity here. Thank you Paul.
You’re welcome Gilbert 🙂
Love Pete.
Love Paul.
Thanks for this and Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving Chris 🙂
THANKS PAUL!
I’m always with You. ☺
Thank you BE.D12” 🙂
It’s a shame they couldn’t find the master for this for the box set, but I’ve seen they have had a LOT of problems with it overall. I ordered mine from US Amazon, so I haven’t received it yet and I’m guessing they are replacing all of the faulty discs with the corrected ones. Thanks for this new rip.
Charley they are supposed to start shipping the new discs on November 28 🙂
Thank you Paul, Camouflage is like T42-Desire or Causse & Effect kind of.. really like it, thanks…so as i fallower of Howard Jones, i see it is missing, in the good posts you made , The Prisoner, i was wondering if this 12″ gonna be post someday, thanks…
You’re welcome John 🙂
I too would really love some Hojo reposts!
Bliss!
I have a technical problem with this, Paul. I extract the files and play the songs on VLC media player. Track 1 won’t play on there and i know for a fact that it’s because the name, My Heart Goes Bang (Get Me To The Doctor) (American ‘WIPE-OUT’ Mix)FLAC is too long. Any suggestions? Don’t know if anyone else can help or confirm that they get the same issue. I would ask if you could shorten the name of track 1 to ‘My Heart…’ or ‘My Heart Goes Bang’ as this might help but i don’t want to cause you… Read more »
Neil you can change the track name just don’t change the file extension .flac or .mp3. I use Foobar200 Media Player and have no issue with the file name. It must be a VLC Media Player thing.
OK many thanks!
I LOVE ALL THESE GIFTS PAUL!! Oh my, my head(s) are throbbing!!! Thank you for doing us right by all of your phenomenal rips!! Especially, giving us the versions we Dead Or Alive fanatics crave!! What an exquisite service you provide. Words just aren’t enough to convey my gratitude for these marvelous presents. You are top-notch in your tastes and generosity. Gosh, these rips are a sonic bubble bath that one lavishes oneself in. I am too thrilled Paul!!!

You always make me smile with your comments Jeff. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did ripping it 🙂
Thanks Paul. In Too Deep next?
That one is already posted Omar 🙂
