BURNING THE GROUND EXCLUSIVE 1984

Originally I posted this one on June 29, 2011. But for those who may have missed it or if you are a new reader just discovering BTG. I decided to give this one a new rip with my newer Ortofon Super 30 stylus. This 12? is also being posted in 24 bit flac for the very first time!

This is one of the most dynamic mixes of the era. Very hard, intense and great music!
Thanks again for sharing! ^_^
Awesome… thank you. 🙂
Thank you so much Paul. Again, you’ve made wolfie hoooooowlllllll lol
OMG If you post the I Had A Disco Dream Mix 12” I think My Heart Would Go Bang Bang Bang Bang lol
Keep up the great work x
I have a silly question, but when you re-upload tracks you’ve previously offered, to you re-scan the artwork as well? I appreciate your work with the art almost as much as the music and am just wondering if I’m wasting hard drive space keeping the old set of scans.
David Yes I do re-scan the art and do enhancements that weren’t previously done 🙂
WOW!!! Thanks for the link its much appreciated, i agree DOA are so under rated and I could never have afforded these rarer 12 inches and i bought EVERYTHING commercially available
would also love Turn Around & Count 2 Ten (disco dream mix) 🙂 thanks again, its appreciated so much
Again thank you for posting Dead Or Alive stuff.
I am a huge fan of this band and Pete Burns. They deserved more attention by the main stream and their record company after Youthquake, as they always did great dance music.
During the recent 80’s revival wave, Japanese Epic Sony should have released a 12″ mixes compilation on 2 CD, but the project sadly was withdrawn for unknown reasons, even if Dead Or Alive always had a great success there. Too bad!
I agree Venus they have been very overlooked. I remember being excited about that Japanese release then it was cancelled 🙁
Thanks for this one ! Awesone sound !!!
Looking for Turn Around & Count 2 Ten (disco dream mix), can you help me ???
Hi Fred yes I do have that one will post it eventually 🙂
Thanks Paul, it will be very cool !!!
Thanks for another awesome post, been a while since I checked in, but wanted to add my continued gratitude. what is the flip out mix btw?
Hi David the “Rip It Up (Flip Out Mix)” is a MEGA RARE 1987 Japanese PROMO-ONLY 12″ it is one of the most sought after Dead Or Alive promos… very few in existence and very rare. This 12″ was used to promote the album “Rip It Up”.
I have already posted it on the blog: http://burningtheground.net/2012/07/dead-or-alive-rip-it-up-flip-out-mix-japan-12-promo-2/
Dear Paul. I have all of the DOA stuff. What about some Marilyn ?
I’ve already posted all of the Marilyn that I have Omar 🙂
Thanks!
You’re welcome Woz!
WOW Paul!!! This was something I was craving the first time I stumbled onto your domain. DOA is one of my favorite bands and their first album really was outstanding because of Zeus B. Held’s production. Thank you intensely for this. I am feeling the love and I know everybody else is too.
Most humbly,
Jeff
One of my favorite bands too Jeff and I love their first album great songs and production 🙂
Wow amazing. I’m guessing my request for this and the recent posting of Culture Club isn’t just a coincidence? Or maybe it is. Thanks either way!
Got a donation and request for it so here it is 🙂
I love anything Dead or Alive! Thank you so much for the 24bit FLAC!
You’re welcome Gilbert 🙂
