I SO LOOOOOOOOVE THIS!!!!! Paul, you DO have the best tastes!!! This track is my new favorite. The percussion is intricately programed, and I can hear shades of J.S. Bach’s baroque keyboard playing. The video is so cool too. I just love Halloween. I have to track down this movie because it seems right up my “haunted” alley. I am a bit of a fraidy cat, but I still love the bewitched and ghostly. This music would be so great in a Gothic nightclub. It’s Vampyre Disko!!!!

Thanks so much, Paul!!!

This really takes me back! Great spooky theme. The movie was good, creepy fun as a kid. Horror was always my favorite genre! So much great creativity with the makeup and effects. Just look at MJ’s transformation in the Thriller video by Rick Baker, that says it all. Nowadays they would CGI everything that looks as real as a video game, Lol. Thank you Paul for another mOMENtous Halloween post!

Then you must have loved Terror In The Aisles? Perfect casting with Donald Pleasence and Nancy Allen as the hosts in the movie theater.

Hey Retro Hound,

I really loved “Terror In The Aisles”. Although I missed it theatrically, I got to see it on DVD a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. And speaking of this movie, check out the song, “Suspense (New Age Gore Mix)” by Axodry. This track has samples from the film. Quite awesome!!

Paul!! You are absolutely the best!! You really think “outside the coffin” when it comes to Halloween music. Thank you for posting this track. I don’t know it, but I know the band, Goblin, and can’t say enough great things about their score for, “Suspiria.” I’ll always remember the first time I saw the film and how the music terrified me. The opening sequence alone was burnt onto my eyes and melted the earwax from both ears. It was so loud and frightening to leave its impression on me. Hans Zimmer probably felt the same way because his “The Ring”… Read more »

Hello Paul, thank you for the great rip! This track was top played in discotheques back in the 80s (used to mix it with Wax-Ball and chain (Chainsaw mix).

hi paul,

this is a fun release. these movies are very low-budget horror flicks, that are classic and very over the top. i have seen the band goblin play the music during the movie, which is a fun experience.

thanks for posting these tracks, and keeping up the halloween theme.

on another note, the duran duran album which is a covers album mostly is coming out soon, so check that out too.
