Great song! Do you happen to have the 7″ single version? The Manhattan mix is the only one available on Chaz’s Best Of disc and any appearance on compilations. It seems impossible to find.
Chaz looks like Adam Driver
I agree Christian 🙂
LOVE the movie and I still watch it now and then its has a lot of fun 80s music in the film including this song which I love!! Thanks so much !!!
I agree keeganskylar. Great movie and soundtrack 🙂
I’m aware of the song, but not these mixes.
Thanks Paul 🙂
You’re welcome Junior 🙂
Thanks Paul. I can’t believe you have this one. Loving the rare 80s music from motion pictures theme you have been posting lately. It also gives me hope that ‘Young Hearts’ by Commuter from The Karate Kid soundtrack will show up here. My gut tells me you know the song. Fingers crossed.
I do know the song very well Mill City and love the movie. Sadly there was never a 12″ mix only a promo 7″.
I just LOVED everything Chaz Jankel did in the 1980s! I have the LP but not these mixes, so this is a super-fab treat. Thank you for making my day!
You’re welcome VanceMan 🙂
this has been on my “to find/get!” list for some time..thanks so much Paul!.. truly a classic that needs to be revisited.
You’re welcome Brent 🙂
Great post! Really dig Chaz Jankel. Since Ai no Corrida. my first 7″ I have a soft spot for his style and his smile ;-). The sleeve was just 2 smears of color, so it really was for the song.
Nice to see him in the spotlight again though. One of the true low-key gems in the industry.
Still triple-love Questionnaire, secret wish is to run into an undiscovered full length 15 minute version on a vinyl fleamarket.
I love his smile too Dirk was one of the things that drew me to him 🙂
Thanks for the dub mix especially – this was on my list for many years!
You’re welcome Martijn van Heeringen 🙂
Thanks Paul,
I forgot this song
and I didn’t known the extended/dub mix.
I think that Zeus B.Held is a great remixer.
Good taste.☺
You’re welcome BE.D12” 🙂
(A Huge SCREAM OF ELATION!!!) Oh-MY-GOODNESS PAUL!!! You are so definitely my Number One!! How do you do it!?! You pull out all-the-stops when it comes to selecting the twelves that you do!! I love Chaz Jankel so much!! Loved his “Ai No Carrida,” which was fabulously covered by Quincy Jones. And then, his massive “Glad To Know You” single which was huge in my part of the country. Radio played it all the time. And they even took that guitar part to be included in TKA’s Freestyle classic, “Maria”!! Oh boy oh boy!! And now this song, which I… Read more »
I think it’s safe to say that you like this one Jeff 🙂 I love this twelve and was afraid that know one would like it or comment. I can always count on you and your stellar taste and knowledge of dance music. A big hug 🙂
