As a Miami Vice fan… This version appeared on Season 3, episode 18 Lend Me An Ear. June Pointer of The Pointer Sisters provided backup vocals for the song. And Bruce Willis appeared on Seaseon 1, episode 3 No Exit airdate November 9, 1984. Many thanks Paul!!! Best wishes from Argentina. Gonzalo
Awww…yea back in the Moonlighting, Max Headroom, Miami Vice, MCDLT, days, the good stuff!
I never knew it was the Staple Singers, until now.
Their I’ll Take You There song is a classic and Big Daddy Kane sampled it well back in 1988 on Long Live the Kane.
Doing it well DJ P, keep on!
Una joya gracias Pault
Great song! And an unforgettable TV show… I spent my entire adolescence trying to be David Addison, imitating all the gestures… Especially trying to perfect that side smile! And I obviously had a massive crush on Cybil Shepherd.
Thank you very much Paul!
You’re welcome, Marcelino 🙂
I nearly fell off the couch when this came up across my screen! I do remember this and it’s so cool you’ve brought it back Paul. When I was much younger, I used to watch “Moonlighting” religiously. I so enjoyed the chemistry between Cybil Shepherd and Bruce Willis. Willis’ character would always crack me up and I enjoyed the times he broke out into song. It was only natural for him to release an album and have a hit single from it. So awesome Paul to have the dance mix too as I don’t think I’ve ever heard it before.… Read more »
Such a fun song with added fun from the Pointer Sisters. I never watched Moonlighting but I know it was pretty popular. The dance mix is a rarity. I hope you like it Jeff 🙂
