Thanks for this Paul! Longtime fan of your blog, going back over 10 years. My Madonna-obsessed ex loves the Breakfast Club. She’d always point out Madonna was actually their drummer at one point, and dated both the singer and eventual drummer at different points, so I’m familiar. But it’s funny – about 6 months ago I became somewhat obsessed with the Local Mix version of this song. It’s got a great groove, and hook – what’s not to love? So I bought a turntable and ripped it. Thanks for the fun flashback, Paul! I’ve never heard this dub before. Maybe you could post the 12″ sometime that has 7 mixes. 🙂 https://www.discogs.com/Breakfast-Club-Right-On-Track/release/3462115

Have a great day!

Nice, did not have 7 inch versions.
I recently found out one of the members of this group was active in song producing for Madonna in the 80s

That would be Stephen Bray who co-wrote and co-produced many songs for Madonna up through Like A Prayer. I’m hoping there will be more Breakfast Club 7″ and 12″ coming our way. The single remix of “Never Be the Same” is exclusive to the 7″ release.
