NICE ! Thank YOU DJ Paul T.
Another title by Boy George, under the guise of Jesus Loves You, I’d love to see posted one of these days is the Grid remix of Bow Down Mister (Floating In The Ganges mix)… cross fingers 😉

also more recently, Yes We Can (Pete Heller PHELA Classic Club Mix) but it was not released in the 80s, nor was it released on 12″…
For the readers out there, have a listen to both (youtube) 🙂
cheers everyone.

Wow this is totally new to me! I think Boy George completely passed me by in ’89 as Martika and Michael Damian were taking over the airwaves! These are fresh mixes!! Talk about real variety, your eclectic taste is astounding. Thank you so much!!
You’re welcome, Retro Hound. This one was kind of overlooked by mainstream radio a real shame.
I never knew Teddy Riley worked with Boy George, but then recall part of the lyrics where the name checks begins of who he worked with previously in his career on “New Jack Swing” by TR’s group Wreckx-N-Effect.
Looking forward to hearing this.
Thanks Paul 🙂
You’re welcome, Marco 🙂
Wow, another great track I haven’t heard for ages. Well actually remember seeing the song on Video Hits back in 1989. Saw the CD album for $3.00 at an Edels mark-down sale in 1991, and decided to buy it for this one song, but was disappointed to see it was the album version. Now 30 plus years later I get to enjoy the proper “single” version of this rare track. Thanks Paul, please keep those 7 inch crackers coming. 🙂 🙂
You’re welcome, Mark 🙂
I had the US cassingle! I think these are the same mixes that were on that. Essentially, these are the UK Radio Mix (the stuttery one) and the US Radio Remix (the one with the dramatic synths and the airport samples).
This to me was so wild when High Hat was released… I was like – Boy George & Teddy Riley!!!!
It also an example of the insanity of albums being reconfigured for the states. To this day it still bugs me as I always want the “original” / artist intended album!
I have lately been thinking about, Boy George, and Culture Club recently, so this is another “psychic” surprise by you, Paul. I had no idea this record did so well on the R&B chart! I love it!!
Jeff
Happy to hear you like it, Jeff 🙂
