Hello Paul, Thanks for your excellent site!
I was at that concert in Hamburg and i remember to be quite happy when they gave the 7″ to everyone attending. In those days they were still managed by Legend and Svengali Malcolm McLaren.

WoW Paul ! ! You don’t have it in you to disappoint. You never cease to amaze me. I bet you have a treasure trove of goodies you are saving just to pull out and amaze us next time one-of-a-kind good tunes I’ve never heard need to be played again. I never regret playing your 12” titles I am unfamiliar with, I enjoy music you help me discover when I decide not to play it safe and listen to tunes I don’t recognize. Please accept my immense gratitude from The Mile HIgh City in the Rockies, Thank You DJ Paul!

Wow Paul – never knew this existed. Thank you so much for sharing this.

I notice the lyrics mention Captain Lush – Boy George’s early pseudonym.

I have finally found someone who extracts the sound to the highest quality like me, I have listened to some of your remasters and I am happy to find someone who pampers music the way I do. A real pleasure. Mario

The truth is that this album does not know it, the style does not excite me much, but the contribution is appreciated

I will just leave it at wow. Thanks Paul, you’ve done it again. I am so happy to see you posting these songs here again, I really hope that your knee surgery did all it was supposed to do and that you are well on your way to a full recovery. Having had a knee issue this summer though no surgery, I have extra empathy to what you’ve been through. This has been an intense year and stuff like this helps to ease the tension… Thank you so much.

Oh Paul, you little star! I have a copy of this and always had it in mind to digitize it myself. But you’ve done it and you’ll have done a better job than I ever could…I haven’t listened to it yet but I know your skills! Thank you, thank you, thank you. BTW, interesting to see you have a Hamburg copy as there were copies made for the US (said some club in New York presents) and would have assumed you’d have picked up that version. Makes no difference content wise. Both have the unique slower longer version of C30… Read more »

The band has been on my mind lately so it was so cool to see this single pop up on your site. Looking forward to the flip-side as I don’t know if I have ever heard this version. Thanks Paul again for the coolest of music.

This was the song that Boy George sang live when he was a member of Bow Wow Wow for a brief moment, billed as Lieutenant Lush. Malcolm Maclaren hired George to “scare” Annabella into doing what HE wanted her to do instead of letting her think she was the star by showing her how easily she could be replaced. It backfired, as George was not exactly well-received by their audience and he ended up getting fired after only 2 or 3 shows. Malcolm would still take credit for “discovering” Boy George at any opportunity- at least whenever George was in… Read more »
