Hi Paul, I am new to your website. I am writing a lot here on this one particular post because this is my first post on here. I am a 45 year old male, who grew up as a kid and teenager back in the 80’s. I am still obsessed with all the 80’s music I loved back in the day. I am a big fan of 70’s Punk, 80’s New Wave, 90’s Alternative and loads of new stuff, electro-clash etc… I have ripped a big chunk of my own vinyl collection, I love the way vinyl sounds. To me… Read more »

My very favorite version of Legs. Thanks for this in stunning quality to replace my crackly version!

Hi Paul!

You have italo-disco songs from the eighties on vinyl?

Regards.

Big fan of AON here too. Any further releases of theirs would be greatly appreciated. Hoops And Mallets…aaaah in burninghteground mastered glory. Thanks Paul.

Am I alone in thinking that once AON left ZTT (and Trevor Horn) and joined China Records their sound changed considerably and became more – dare I say – mainstream? Don’t get me wrong, I was (am) still a big fan, but post-ZTT I think they lost some of their unique weirdness which originally drew me to them.

I could easily find the re-remix (“Legacy”) on CD but never this version. Thank you so much for making it available.

Love AON and yes those deluxe versions were shelved without ANY explanation! More AON please! Do you have any of the Paranoimia (The original 1987 version) releases? On 7 or 12? Many thanks

Hello Paul

Great Mix from The Art Of Noise. I search the Mix Version “Last Leg Mix” https://www.discogs.com/de/Art-Of-Noise-Legs-Last-Leg/release/81564.
I’m a Fan from your Side since 2012. My English it’s not good :-))) Have many Thanks for your Mixes. Greets from Dresden Germany.

The mix with the Ostrich is the “Last Leg Mix” – a pretty strange dub Mix. It’s pretty rare, but I wouldn’t put it past Paul to have it!

As I’ve said before, I was so obsessed with AoN when I was little. Haven’t heard this for quite a while. I don’t recall how Hoops and Mallets goes, but I know I will recognise it instantly when I hear it. Thanks!

Do you have the remix 12″ Paul, the one with the ostrich on the front? I have them both in a box somewhere, but where!??

Don’t remember it getting in the charts either? Was it No.6 in the Indie Chart perhaps?

Paul, truly you touch upon so many great things when you post. Just recently, the New Wave Outpost mentioned Art Of Noise and the China album reissues which haven’t yet come to fruition, but here is a post that is most welcome. I love AON and love this song. Whoa and WOW WEE!! You’ve made me very happy and put me into an euphoric state.

Jeff

I don’t think it peaked at number 6 in the UK, don’t think it even made the top 40

This is is SUCH a great track – one of my lifelong loves! They never really released CD singles from the Invisible Silence era, so I have never had the chance to hear the mixes and B sides from Legs, Legacy, Paranoia and Peter Gunn digitally. To have it (and the B side!) in this quality is astounding, like hearing it for the first time. Thank you, Paul!
