Great!
Thank you!
Sutra is a reincarnation of the more famous ’60s Kama Sutra label, originally Kama Sutra Productions dist. by M-G-M in the Lovin’ Spoonful days, later dist. by Buddah in the Ocean, Brewer & Shipley, Stories era of the ’70s.
Angela also released a cover of Minnie Riperton’s “Loving You” on Yamato Records.
Also a pretty decent freestyle track.
Paul, you are so right about this track. It has great production values. And the keyboard work by Fred Zarr is exceptional!! This is how a record should be done, in my opinion. This is high quality Electro/Freestyle at its best. I so appreciate this introduction!
Jeff
Thanks Dj Paul for share greats traks!
Thanks for another great freestyle track!
Hi Paul, Thanks for this post, I love that song…. I have a promo single, but it very old, and it in a bad condition…. Thanks, now I can listen with an excellent quality! Hugs
You’re welcome Marcello 🙂
Hi Paul, thank you very much for the great album, I admire your work, greetings from Chile.
Thank you pablo 🙂
Wow Paul! I love that single. Well, if this is freestyle, then I like freestyle. Never heard of Angela. As it is her only ever released single this post could be part of your “Totally obscure 80s” series. I miss that series… Have a great long weekend.
I will be doing more Totally Obscure 80s for sure Daniel 🙂
Gosh, I remember the Sutra label. Although I’m not sure if I know this track, I do know Jonathan Fearing and Fred Zarr. It’s these things that bring me back to my rabid record buying days. I relied on the label notes whether to buy a record or not. I would have in this case. I see the dub is extra long which always seems promising. I so love these Electro/Freestyle singles you post Paul. And it’s not just the big hits. You select things because you resonate in some ways with them Paul. I’m so grateful for your picks.… Read more »
I know you will love this one Jeff it’s catchy and has great production. I am sure Fred will enjoy it too if he drops by. Have a great weekend looking forward to hearing what you think of this record. 🙂
