Happy Birthday, Weekend America!
“Take It Easy” is the debut single by former original Duran Duran guitarist Andy Taylor, released from the American Anthem soundtrack by Atlantic Records-Warner Pioneer Corporation in 1986.
Written by Andy Taylor and Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones, the single reached #24 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart on August 11, 1986, after spending seventeen weeks on the survey.
The B-side is the instrumental “Angel Eyes”, another track taken from the American Anthem soundtrack.
The sleeve was designed by Frank Olinsky, whose credits also include Duran Duran’s Notorious album.

“Take It Easy” was a fantasic start for Andy Taylor, which had his distinctive guitar riff sound.
“Lola” was my favourite track, which came out fours years later, I remember it well as it was a picture disc with a guitar image on a 12″ clear vinyl, I think it was a Les Paul.
