I vaguely remember a single by Alphaville, but not the title. I really appreciate your blog Paul, where your fans can sample a little of this and a little of that. The professional high quality of your uploads never cease to impress me. Yours is a labour of love.
Cheers!

since i listened to Alphaville i was amazed, the rmx of the fast version of Forever Young enchanted me, but my favorite was always Sounds Like a Melody, Paul always thank you very much!! Alphaville here in Uruguay has been heard a lot and continues to be heard. May the force be with you!!!

So great to have a digital transfer of the Balcony Mix! I have the mini “CD3″ that just had an extended version, short version and the b-side and the other remixes on a promo 12” that adds a Teknopella & a “Radio Edit” that may be a short version of the Balcony mix but I’ll have to spin it to see now! I have ALL of their albums including Marain Gold’s “solo” albums. Love me some Alphaville!

Hi Paul, I’m a huge fan of Alphaville’s music. ‘Forever young’ was released when I was 14. The album instantly grabbed me. Then there was ‘Afternoons in Utopia’. This album I like even more. I guess it’s one of the most played albums in my house. I thought that I owned Alphaville’s complete official discography, even the releases without a major record company contract (‘Dreamscapes’, ‘Crazy Show’ etc.) But these mixes were totally unknown to me. Are there more US-releases with special mixes? I’d love to listen to more. Thank you very much for this! From Germany with love. 🙂

hi paul, i’m a small fan of alphaville and their gigantic first album, and the singles from that, so it’s nice to hear some of their other songs too. they didn’t make much of a dent in america, except for the song ‘forever young’ being played at dances, and such. and even though that song has an excellent ‘fast’ version that i liked [i don’t like ballads], that was about it for them. i had a friend that was a huge fan, and he collected all their music, and someday i might explore them a little further. but thanks for… Read more »
