Refreshing! Knew him only as an actor from the teeveeshow. I remember mentioning the word cute, back then.
Yootoobed him ofcourse..
Seldomn seen such ackward performer. (He obviously run in different circles than the customers of dr.Feelgood..or did he?) Was he pushed on stage?
Weird choice of pop, too. And who did his shopping for him?
Adorable. Still.
Thank you for this find. Opened doors and uncovered layers of an unknown past.

Thanks Paul. This single was a big hit here in France back in 1985. I love it and the remix only appeared on one french release that I purchased when it came out in 2008:

But I have to admit that your remastering sounds better. Like you I also purchased Al Corley’s CD album at a dear price but it was worth it.

I am not a regular poster here but this time i gotta do it! So many memories on this one. Love Al Corley. All of his releases are rare in a sense that the long or extended version never surfaced on any compilation with the exception of one French compilation from Wagram Records. Please post Square Room 12″. Thanks Paul

I’m so glad to have you Paul and your introductions to past records. I always loved “Square Rooms” and was thrilled discovering the full 12-inch on your site years ago. So cool now to have its follow-up here as well. Al Corley was fantastic. Loved him on “Dynasty” and was impressed by his singing career too. It’s such a pleasure getting these songs back into our ears after a long time missing. And Harold Faltermeyer is an incredible producer in his own right!!

Thanks,

Jeff
