Glad to see a new upload! Are you doing OK? I get worried when there’s not much activity so I hope you and your family are doing well. I like Leo Sayer but I don’t think I’ve ever heard this disco version before — should be a fun listen!

Glad to have a surprise upload any day! I’m glad you’re mostly OK, too, although it’s never fun to feel sick. I hope you’re feeling well very soon.

Thanks Paul!
I never saw this 12″ before. This is truly a rarity.

In 1982 Irene Cara covered this in a less-angry sounding yet very dance-oriented performance on a 12″ released on Network Records (part of Elektra/Asylum in those days). The 12″ is just the Ron Dante-produced 3:39 album version that was issued to promote her then-current album Anyone Can See. A 12″ mix might have helped this get club play and more attention since the album and single went nowhere as a result of E/A’s internal issues.

Initially that number was at the top, it’s gone tidsy, perhaps a tech glitch!

Too funny, as it was just like the order # we used to use on WEA stuff back in the day…so I’m looking at the number on the post going, hmmm…why that number 😆
