I don’t see that anyone has mentioned this, but the b-side mix is the same (minus intro clicks) as was used in the video. This is the best evidence that I can find on YouTube in the US: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tng4tiQfebE

Wow. with the “new” lyrics on the b-side it’s like listening to a new song.

These lyrics are in fact the A-side/single version which was a hit in the UK… everyone seems to have forgotten that!

Life (and possible the new Donna Summer box set) has gotten in the way of my music listening, but i am excited to catch up here and see this gem! What a treat. Thank you!

Hi Paul. Will you be posting the ‘last Christmas’ instrumental from the new 12″ single? Also, I have read this week about a Japanese-only edit of the ‘Pudding Mix’, do you have this? And what about the 1996/7 mixes of ‘I’m your Man’ and ‘Everything she wants’? Glad to see you back, doing what you (and us!) love most! Hugs, M.

Y’know, it’s interesting that, aside from the chorus, the lyrics to the “Special US 7-inch Remix” are completely different from the ones you hear on every other mix…

Paul, thanks for this record.
I don’t want to spoil the exclusiveness of the b-side but this promo is the same as http://www.discogs.com/release/446811 (which I happen to have)
Nevertheless a fantastic rip!

Wow, I’ve only just seen this, and never heard of it before, but can’t wait to get it tonite. You know I can’t get enough of Wham Rap versions. 😀 I think they show a really interesting side to the band, and the decisions they were making in their struggle to make it. (Big 😉 )

Thank you for this fantastic surprise. 🙂

BTW it’s been exclusively 1982 on BTG this week.. You gonna keep going for Friday’s post? 🙂

Fantastic!
Thank you dear Paul for another Wham!’s version of WR!(EWYD) song.
You are right with this “anytime when you thought there couldn’t possibly be another remix…”
As we all can see in your case it can be possible 🙂

Again I’m stunned at your collection. It’s tremendous that your record buying prowess boggles the senses. I’m interested in hearing this B-side. You do such a fantastic job obtaining these rarities Paul. And thanks for sharing them with us in excellent quality.

Cheers!

Jeff

How did you get your hands on this test pressing, haha! Marvellous.

Could you tell us (the poor Europeans) how the instrumental version of ‘Last Christmas’ sounds like? So anxious to find out – on this blog in a short while 🙂

The instrumental of “Last Christmas” was released on the “Wham!: Japanes Singles Collection” in 2020.
