What a remix! Oh wow – been looking for this for over two decades! LOL
Whoops, sorry, I didn’t see the post above mine! Yes, one those mixes must be the one I heard. Thanks for the details.
I once heard an amazing remix of Wet Wet Wet’s Wishing I Was Lucky. It was played on the Network Chart Show – the Sunday commercial chart show on UK radio. The Network Chart Show was the rival to the BBC’s Top 40 radio show.
I on’t know if the remix was made for the Network Chary show or it was released as a B side or remix.
If anyone has heard it or got it- it’s a great remix of their classic song. 🙂 I got most of the remix on audio tape.
Thanks for posting these great versions – heard them many times before – I’m a big fan of the band from the UK! Admittedly, the Wets music doesn’t really lend itself to being remixed, however, there are some notable vinyl remixes from the 80s and 90s that you might be interested in: Wishing I Was Lucky (12″ Version) – WIWL UK 12″ Single (1987) Wishing I Was Lucky (Metal Mix) – WIWL UK Limited Edition 12″ Single (1987) Sweet Little Mystery (12″ Version) – SLM UK 12″ Single (1987) Wishing I Was Lucky (Gotta Job Mix) – WIWL US 12″… Read more »

Karl – do you have those mixes? I’ve searched for 12” mixes of Wet Wet Wet for years as I’m a huge fan of them too. Any download links would be appreciated.
Hi Wolfie

Hi Karl – my email address is wolfie68@me.com Hope to hear from you soon
Very good choice! I own this 12″ along with the UK extended version. Thank you for the -surely- excellent rip. My favourite by the Wets is “Wishing I Was Lucky” (bunch of versions for this one!) Thanks again.
FABULOUS!!!! Loved these back in the day – thanks so much x
You are so very welcome Wolfie 🙂
Wet Wet Wet and Johnny Hates Jazz came onto the UK music scene around the same time, and both enjoyed Top 10 hits the same week in June 1987. Johnny Hates Jazz with Shattered Dreams (#5) and Wet Wet Wet with Wishing I Was Lucky (#6). Shattered Dreams cross over and became an even bigger hit in the US (#2), but the Wets struggled to peak at #58. However, the Wets went on to bigger things in the UK long after Johnny Hates Jazz disbanded. Their cover of Love Is All Around became a million seller and the second longest… Read more »
