I didn’t know I needed to hear a “Hooked On” version of Rocky Horror, but Dammit DJPaul, I love this!
Lol thrilled you like it 🙂
The Rocky Horror Disco Show 12″ Single is by German duo David & Roxana, but there is just one male singer for the bulk of the track. Apparently Roxana sang only for the ‘Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me’ portions.
Another one I never knew existed! I love the big steady backbeat throughout this mega-mix and how the sound was updated for the 80s. Perfect for a Halloween-themed party for those us at our [ahem] age, Lol. Thanks for constantly mixing it up for us Paul!! And have a great weekend to you, Jeff, Martika and everyone else in our time warp! And thoughts and prayers to those affected by the hurricanes.
You’re welcome, Retro Hound I hope you have a great weekend 🙂
Fascinating release! No idea how I’m going to categorize this in my collection under “Artist” haha
I will file it under “The Rocky Horror Disco Show”,
because that’s the name of the song/megamix as
well as the project.
I just have it under Various.
What a cool find!! I love this, Paul! Growing up in the 1970’s and 1980’s, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” was extremely popular on the midnight circuit. Our local movie theater would play the film on the weekends. I had friends who were more obsessed with it than I was, that they even dressed and performed the parts like you’re supposed to do. I lost my “virginity” (meaning: seeing it for the first time) in the 80’s. It was a wild and madcap experience. Thank you, DjPaulT, for this awesome piece of vinyl!! Have a great weekend, Paul, Retro Hound,… Read more »
We should keep in our thoughts the BTG readers affected by the recent hurricanes. The first time I ever saw RHPS was on DVD. I instantly loved it. Have a safe weekend, everyone 🙂
