Great track, liked this one quite a bit. Did you know Arthur Baker is her husband.
The instrumentation on this really makes it sound like New Order/ Freeez and a truckload of others. Such a great track, and naturally, the Latin Rascals machine gun / razor edits all add to the nostalgia.
Thanks again sir.
There’s a thought, how do YOU refer to that style of editing we know from Cabrera/ Moran/ Nunez etc [I call em Machine Gun edits cos of the Rochelle 12″, that was the first time I saw any description of them].
Craig
Hi Craig,
Just saw this today. I and others have referred to what these guys do as multi-edits. I do love the description “machine gun edits” too. Also, and I hate this description, “stutter edits” is another way I’ve heard them described. Hope this helps.
Jeff
P.S. There are also individuals that make “extreme edits” which is intense and insane cuts and splices.
Thx Paul.
Great song, good quality.
… Thanks for this Arthur Baker track!
Awesome song from ”back in da dayz” – Great Digitalization – Many Thanks Paul -> Excellent 🎶 😎
Her NEW Remix is ”da bomb diggity” BTW… Check It Out!!!

Very cool song! Thanks for sharing Paul. I love your site only for these secret unknown songs!
Nearly fell out of my seat when I saw this come across!!! Paul, I’m so humbly and enthusiastically grateful to you for ripping this song for your Burning The Ground site. As you and the community here know all too well, I am a fanatic for John Robie and Arthur Baker projects. Whenever these two gentlemen teamed up, you know it was going to be tremendous and at times, groundbreaking too. Look what these guys did with Planet Rock and other electro classics. They started a wave and inspired so many artists, even still to this day. Love these guys… Read more »
I guess I can confidently say that you like this one, Jeff 🙂
Thanks for this one Paul. I was just listening to her Greatest Hits CD a couple days ago. Surprising her career didn’t take off more, especially considering she was married to Arthur Baker. Underrated vocalist and artist.
I agree with you, Thomas. She also did backing vocals for Madonna, U, New Order, and others.
Thank you..
You’re welcome 🙂
