Oh, I quite like this! It’s like Eurythmics went back in time and were produced by Carly Simon’s team — it also bears some resemblance to that song “Jackie Blue”. 😀 Cheers.
Cool stuff – thank you!
Only just listening to “Borderline” now… I love Annie’s voice in this 🙂 Way more confident than I expected her to sound in 1977… fantastic singing 🙂
DJ Paul, I’m wondering… with your recent Eurythmics post’s, might you be planning on bringing us “Let’s Just Close Our Eyes”, on the b-side of “Love is a Stranger” 12 inch? It is one track that I’ve never managed to find in all these years and your recent upload of “The Walk” 12 inch has sparked my hopes again. That’s if you have it of course 🙂

Thanks Paul! Never owned this one myself as copies were always too expensive. Heard ‘Borderline’ for the first time a few years ago but have never heard the B side before.
I had no idea this was even a thing. Thank you!
Thanks Paul for this unique early gem. Great soul-pop with Annie Lennox almost raw and naked in the voice booth. Long way to There must be an Angel, but i prefer this though 🙂 Somehow i could hear this covered by an american discoshuffle coverband.
Daaang, I wasn’t expecting disco! Very cool, never heard of it before. Thanks Paul!
Thank you, Paul, I’d not heard of this one before. It’s fantastic!
You’re welcome Dean 🙂
Great work (as usual) Paul – thank you! I have long wanted to hear these tracks in great audio quality and you have more than delivered.
Cheers, Phil
Cheers Phil my pleasure 🙂
Wow, what can I say…This is really cool. You win the prize for this one. Never knew this existed. So 70’s. Borderline reminds me of Jackie Blue. And Black Blood reminds me of Last Exit era Sting.
Thank you Joey. Ya know I thought the same thing especially “Jackie Blue” glad I wasn’t the only one 🙂
Hey Guys,
Count me in too. I immediately started singing “Jackie Blue” by the Ozark Mountain Band (I believe). Great record and adored the flip-side as well. Great Christmas present!!
Jeff
Ha ha ha! I said that below, too — about “Jackie Blue”. I’m only now reading the other comments. Nice to read you all hear it, too — I’m not crazy or daft! 🙂 I could never have come up with that band’s name though. LOLz!
I love when Paul’s readers comment about his work and, sometimes, like you just did, read the comments too other people have posted. This is an amazing place here and thank Goodness we have our DjPaulT.
Have a nice day and weekend Richard The Big Bunny!!
Jeff
Cheers, Jeff! 🙂
Never heard this one before.
After listening to both sides, I love the song “Borderline” – great song.
Somehow I’m not sure if it was good to give us this one just before Christmas since that it sounds for me like a great summer song 🙂
Anyway, thanks Paul for this great post and your work.
You’re welcome Ziv 🙂
Thank you, I have always wanted to hear this!
You’re welcome Tyson 🙂
A rare catch! Thanks Paul.
You’re welcome Stefano 🙂
Didn’t know there was activity prior to The Tourists – will listen with a keen ear. 🙂
Is this mega rare or anything, BTW?
It’s quite rare Jermajesty only released in Spain, UK and Netherlands. UK was the only country that it was not issued in a picture sleeve.
Never heard of it,love the b-side!
Thanks as always for the rip, Paul! 🙂
You’re welcome Ex15 🙂
Thank you!! More Eurythmics please! 😉
You’re welcome Tony 🙂
Thanks Paul.
You’re welcome Omar 🙂
This is amazing, Paul! Thank you so much.
You’re welcome Marty 🙂
Paul, I think Santa has some stiff competition this Christmas season. You are so generous with these records. Wow, how cool is this. Thanks for dong things like this. The details you provide us with is immense. You do rescue music from oblivion and that my friend makes you incredibly special.
Jeff
Thank you Jeff I really hope that you like this early recording by Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart. This is great stuff!!
There were a couple photosleeves produced for this 7″ (see http://www.eurythmics-ultimate.com/discography-the-catch-singles-borderline/ ) Thanks for the awesome digital transfer!
You’re welcome Silver Blue. The UK edition was issued without a picture sleeve 🙂
Never heard of it but giving it a go!
Hope you like it Neil 🙂
