I was fortunate enough to have acquired the house mixes of “Prove Your Love” and “Tell It To My Heart” on cd format back in the day. Both mixes were played in heavy rotation. I also used to play the acapella of “Holiday Rap” over the “Tell It To My Heart” house mix, then segue into the movie house mix of Madonna’s “Causing A Commotion” …. the house was just jumping! Great memories from the DJ box!

The perfect post for your “comeback”! When Tell It To My Heart debuted in late 87, I was immediately hooked! The urgency of the freestyle beat, the ferocity in the vocals, the in-your-face demand for your love eternal true! One of my prized 12″s and it is firmly in my Top 3 for that year, but such an atrocity that it didn’t hit #1 on the Club Play charts! Even till this day, who could resist moving a bone when this came on the dance floor or on the radio? Prove Your Love is a worthy second single, but not… Read more »

Yeah… That part was great too. (Actually the whole song is great) I played it at a retro party few years ago and I can clearly remember seeing EVERYBODY was crazy about this track. Dancing and singing!

Hi Paul,

You’re back in full force for the last week of the year. And what a way to start that week…
The house mix of tell it to my heart has “New Years Eve Party” written all over it. One of my all time favorite dance/house tracks.
I have the German cd-single of this, which (strangely) has the original extended mix of “prove your love” , the house mix of tell it…, and a beautiful ballad called “I’ll always love you”
Thanks Paul and happy holidays to you and the ones you love.
Trikke

Paul, you are on a roll. I´ve been bad on the commenting, and I really wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the work you do and the generosity of sharing. There is a definite love in this task, and it shows.
Once again, thank you. And keep those Taylors coming! Any chance you have any Don’t rush me mixes?
