We’re Halfway There – October Fundraiser Update!

Hello friends & music lovers,

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported Burning the Ground’s October Fundraiser so far. Because of your generosity, we’re already about halfway to our $1,500 goal! 💿✨

Your donations are making a real difference — helping cover hosting and security costs, keeping our equipment running smoothly, and allowing me to track down rare records for future posts. Every dollar is going right back into keeping BTG alive, secure, and filled with the music we all love.

We still have a little way to go before we reach our goal, and if you haven’t had a chance to contribute yet, there’s still time. You can make a secure donation by debit card, credit card, or PayPal through our Donation Page on PayPal, or by clicking any of the yellow Donate buttons throughout the site, or by clicking the link below.

Thank you again for your incredible support — whether through donations, sharing the site, or simply stopping by to enjoy a favorite track. Together, we’re keeping this music alive for fans and collectors everywhere. ❤️

Much love,
Paul

Burning the Ground – October 2025 Fundraiser

Hello, friends and fellow music lovers,

It’s that time again — our October Fundraiser is officially underway!

Burning the Ground is a labor of love dedicated to preserving and sharing the rare 12″ remixes, extended versions, and hard-to-find vinyl gems of the ’80s, ’90s, and beyond. Whether you visit to relive a favorite dancefloor memory or discover something new, I’m so grateful to have you as part of this passionate community.

Every six months, we run a small fundraiser to help keep the site running smoothly and securely. Our goal for October is $1,500.00 — and every dollar counts.

Your generous donations go directly toward:

🔒 Website hosting, security, monitoring, and protection
💿 Purchasing requested records for future posts
🛠️ Equipment maintenance and upgrades

If you’d like to support Burning the Ground, you can make a secure donation by debit card, credit card, or PayPal through our Donation Page on PayPal, or by clicking any of the yellow Donate buttons throughout the site.

We know these are challenging times, and that makes your support mean even more. No amount is too small, and every contribution helps ensure BTG continues to bring you the music you love.

Thank you all so much for your continued support of Burning the Ground. Whether you’ve donated, shared the site, or simply stopped by to enjoy a favorite track, you’re helping keep this music alive for generations of fans and collectors to come. I truly couldn’t do this without you. ❤️

Much love,
Paul

My Decision on Disco Friday — Let’s Keep the Groove Alive!

First off, a big glitter ball thank you to everyone who dropped a comment on my last post—you’ve truly lit up my dance floor. I have to say, I was a bit surprised to see so many new names in the mix. It makes me wonder… where have you been hiding during my Disco Friday sets? Don’t be shy—jump in and share your thoughts more often!

After reading through your feedback on whether to keep spinning Disco Friday or pull the plug, the results are in—and the crowd has spoken. Most of you want to keep the disco beats rolling! But, like any good DJ, I’m switching up the setlist just a little. Instead of dropping a disco 12″ every single Friday, I’ll spin them whenever the mood—and the mirror ball—strikes. That way, I’m not locked into the same groove every week and can mix in other tracks that inspire me.

I adore disco, but I also like to keep my playlist fresh and unpredictable. This way, Disco Friday will still happen… just not on every Friday. Think of it as a surprise club appearance—you never know when the fever will hit!

So, when I feel that irresistible pull to the dance floor, you’ll get a Disco Friday post. And even if the track I’m spinning isn’t your jam, I’d still love to see your friendly comments—they keep the vibe alive.

Lastly, I’m taking a short break this week to spend some much-needed quality time with my family.

Much love and appreciation to all of you—keep the groove going!

Thank You for an Incredible Pride Month — See You July 9!

As June comes to a close, I just want to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this journey through music, memory, and celebration. This year’s Pride Month on Burning the Ground has been one of the most special yet — a vibrant mix of anthems, deep cuts, camp classics, and unexpected gems that have moved us, united us, and made us dance.

Together, we paid tribute to pioneers like Divine, Malcolm McLaren, Pete Burns, and k.d. lang… we turned the volume up on forgotten 12″ remixes, glittering club anthems, and powerful messages of love, identity, and freedom. Whether it was a synth-pop banger or a disco confession, each post was a small act of celebration and remembrance — for the voices we’ve lost, the lives we’ve lived, and the joy we continue to share.

Now, I’m signing off for a short vacation and will be taking a much-needed break until July 9. During this time, there won’t be any new posts, but feel free to explore the archives and revisit some favorites — there’s always something worth rediscovering.

To everyone who has commented, shared a memory, or simply stopped by to listen — thank you. Your presence here keeps the music alive.

Stay safe, stay proud, and I’ll see you back here in July with more vinyl treasures and sonic surprises.

With love and appreciation,
Paul (DJPaulT) 🏳️‍🌈🌴
