“Cross My Broken Heart” is a song by Sinitta. It was released in March 1988 as the sixth and final single from her self-titled debut album. This song was written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman. It was successful in the UK where it was a top 10 hit, peaking at number six. It was certified silver by the BPI. The B-side contains a remix of her 1987 hit, “Toy Boy”.
In the United States, the single reached #26 on the Billboard Dance chart on September 2, 1988.

This song puts Bananarama’s “Love In The First Degree” back into my consciousness since it is almost exactly the same song. What a perfect example of the assembly-line mentality and production methods of Stock-Aitken-Waterman and exactly the kind of single The KLF simultaneously ridiculed and worshipped.
